Distant Touch is Ashley MacLaughlin, a British born psytrance producer and DJ signed to Timecode Records and living between the UK and South Africa. His production and DJ style is a combination of full-on, dirty, fractal psychedelic beats encompassing a hybrid of both daytime and night time styles. His musical background began at the age of 8 when he started to learn to play the guitar. At the age of 17 he was playing trance in London clubs and small squat parties and started to write his own music in 2004 at the age of 19. Since moving to South Africa in January 2009 he has performed both live sets and DJ sets regularly at various parties including Vortex, The Village and Cryptic Symmetry amongst others, as well as returning back home within that time to play at parties in his home country and Europe. He has shared the stage alongside some of the premier acts in the global scene as well as playing various back to back DJ sets with some of the biggest trance DJs in the UK and South Africa. Ashley has also worked with various influential producers on a number of collaborations both in the UK and South Africa and has various side projects also currently gathering momentum.

This new episode of the Berry Tales features the ecstatic dance DJ set from JOHNNY BLUE's side project JUANITO AZUL, as it was presented in the Intimate Session event which took place in Limassol CY on May 31, 2025 and was organised in collaboration with the Conscious Collective CY as part of our monthly series of ecstatic dance events. JOHNNY BLUE comes from Cyprus. He is an active local and international DJ, assistant manager of Feel Life Music and A&R manager of Mikelabella Records.

JUANITO AZUL | The Berry Tales Ep. 35 | 01/07/2025

This is a showcase studio mix featuring selections from the latest IN'R'VOICE albums. Denny Kay has been one of the original pioneers of the Russian electronic underground since 1991. In 1995, he received an award from the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation in the category "For Innovative Music for Youth."  In 1996, he relocated to London, and by 1999, Denny released his first record on London’s legendary Return To The Source Records — Shakta and In'R'Voice – Present Moment (EP/Vinyl). His second release was the double album In'R'Voice – Resonance Metaphizix (Optica Records, 2002, UK, 2CD), mastered at the iconic Abbey Road Studios in London.  Since then, Denny has released a vast amount of music — over 500 tracks — under various aliases, often concealing his identity and constantly reinventing himself across nearly every genre of electronic music. Despite these transformations, In'R'VOICE has remained his main project, weathering the shifts of the underground scene and continuing to release fresh material. The project is currently a resident of Cosmicleaf Records and is also the creative force behind other ventures such as Karmahacker.
