Bunkeruk is an independent record label based in the city of Sunderland and only works with fresh talent from within the local area. Over the years the label has grown organically, with over 15 releases and has worked with bands such as The Golden Virgins, The Pits, Seven Heroes, The Spheres, SeventyThree, Lee McMahon among others. The Golden Virgins received much critical acclaim from NME and Rolling Stone magazine with NME voting their album ‘Songs of Praise’ #54 in the top 100 albums of the last decade. Bunkeruk’s double album release ‘Live at the Voodoo Room’ also scored 8.5 out of 10 in NME. Bunkeruk continues to grow within the City and is currently working on new compilations and promoting the vast back catalogue. Please do not send any new submissions to the label, if you’re good and from Sunderland, we’ll already know you!
