snare society: Secret Santa is a multi-week long event hosted in our discord server. members signup to take part, then get split into teams of 2, everyone being paired with partners at complete random, neither teams knowing who gets who. Team 1 is tasked with creating a sample pack within the span of a week, while Team 2 has 2 days to make whatever they want with the provided sample pack. we ended up with 30 FREAKING EPIC TRACKS that range in genres and styles.

with this comp we also tried out something new, that being a cover art challenge, where everyone was given 2 days (during the song creation period) to create their very own cover art to be used for the cover art, those submissions then being voted on by fellow snare citizens to decide on a winner. (there were only 5 submissions this time around LOL)

This DJ from Western Canada has been DJing since August of 2022 but didn't start performing till about May of 2023. He told me he was inspired to pick up DJing after attending various IRL festivals and raves and seeing acts like Don Diablo and Oliver Heldens. But it was after seeing James Hype live in person that he decided to buy a DJ controller. His favorite part of it all is being able to express himself through his song selection and connect with the audience on a deeper level. Since starting in VR he's played at venues and events such as Kaliedosky, Googie Records, Smol Boat, Star Party, Light Dimension, Deep Dive, Sushi House, and his very own StrayID events. His favorite genres to play out are Organic House, Progressive House, Tech House, Deep House, honestly anything house, and sometimes UKG, Breakbeats, and Electro. He also freestyles his sets probably 99% of the time so I hope y'all are ready for that! For today's mix, he's going to be providing us with cool, chill, backroom/Afterparty-type vibes, something similar to your favorite sunset beach party or stargazing with close friends. Sounds like a good mood if you ask me. 

Outside of DJing, he loves gaming - his top 3 games are Destiny 2, Fallout New Vegas, and Cyberpunk 2077. He also said he thinks an underrated gem is the Hitman series. Also, his favorite non edm song is Gravity by John Mayer.

Treesleeper is a Chicago-based electronic music artist known for producing and djing a steady output steeped in techno, house, breaks, footwork, bass and jungle. Recent releases include Special RX (2023), Reality (2023), BOYS (2024), Secrets (2024) and KO'd in 2025.
Founder of the virtual reality-based goth club, "Mansion" she promotes regular events platforming a variety of highly talented artists. She is proudly an in-house DJ and co-organizer for PSHQ, a sex-positive, heavily moderated LGBTQIA+ focused community seen as a pillar of the online rave movement.
