I make tracks. When I am done making a track, I listen to it on repeat. When I’ve had enough listening I making another track. Rinse and repeat.

Most of these tracks that I make for myself never make it on to albums, or 12”s, or digital releases, or have any real pubic access, yet they have a lot of meaning to me, and are capable of providing hours (or at least a few minutes) of listening pleasure.

I love creating sounds and music, and it is what keeps me going day-to-day. Creating music with machines is a salve for my soul. It sounds dramatic, but it’s true. If I stop making music for any long stretch of time I start to get really depressed and irritable. I have to make music in order to feel good. It is like air, or food, or some strange psycho-sound dopamine-creating reaction thing.

Why would I want to share this music with others?

I believe in what I do and I just want share what makes me happy with others. I will do this (make and share) until I no longer can. 

Why post them on a tumblr?

These tracks are not albums.
They are not even EPs (although they could be grouped that way). 
The are not even singles. 
They are not for the music ‘industry’.

To me they are like Polaroids that have captured a moment in time, and they mean something to me. They are more special to me than an iTunes or Bandcamp release. I want people to experience them in their totality, individually, at a digestible pace, and this seems to be a good way to get them out there.

For me, they serve as a documentation of the sounds, textures and rhythms that have captivated my attention over the years. That isn’t to say that it is anything special, or unique, it is simply a documentation of my journey. It turns out that I have loved every minute of it, recorded most of it, and am happy to share it with others.

These tracks will be free to download.

These tracks will be mastered (kinda, by me), and if edited the original will be available (sometimes, maybe).

I intend to post a track a sound a day, but that isn’t necessarily the challenge. The challenge is to be open, and to share my work with the world in a way that the world can experience it however it wants.
