She is a producer and DJ whose sets carry a clear signature and genuine emotion. Shaleen tells stories through sound and pulsing, atmospheric journeys that reach far beneath the surface. Her music feels warm, her transitions vivid, driven not by perfection but by authenticity. This approach shapes not only her DJ sets but also her own productions. Alongside her Tresor West residency and her work as a producer and DJ, she carefully builds platforms of her own. With SURD, a multidisciplinary event series in the Ruhr area, she brings together electronic music, visual art and social discourse. And with Spellbound, her new label, she opens a space for experimental, hypnotic sounds – raw, playful and profoundly deep.

In an interview with Andre Kronert, Shaleen speaks about long hours in the studio, producing modularly and surrendering fully to improvisation. Without pre-planned structures or digital safety nets, she immerses herself in a creative process led by instinct. Her inspiration comes from personal experience and electrifying textures brought to life through analog equipment.

SPOKEN103 - Ambu Bambu

Groningen based DJ, producer and friend of the collective Ambu Bambu's music tells emotional stories of wanting to belong, yet fated to a destiny of floating in between. Urgent and rhythmic, with the occasional moment of lightness and release, their selections and productions span realms from breakbeat and bass, to dubbed-out fuzziness and oddball house and techno tracks just weird enough to make you doubt their genres.

Their welcome appearance in the Dutch underground scene is illustrated by key performances at DGTL x Boiler Room, RAUM, and Down The Rabbit Hole. Explorations into scenes abroad have been made, with appearances in Brussels, Berlin, London, and their fully self-booked The Motherland Tour through China. At the same time, they’re tethering through residencies at @relateradio and @sisu_crew.

SPOKEN103 - Ambu Bambu

Drawing from a place of emotion, APRS delves into the rugged and radiant ends of electronic music, culminating in a powerful signature dotted with elegant motifs. With over ten years of experience producing music, the Berlin-based artist has formed a versatile blueprint that sprawls across deep and driving techno, emotive breaks and ethereal ambiences.
 
In the spring of 2024, Spanish label Sungate released APRS' debut EP, followed by a second EP on ARTS in early 2025. APRS' sound blends rich techno rhythms with balmy ambient notes, deep and warm basslines, and airy dub-infused melodies and textures, creating a sense of depth and atmosphere.
 
As a vinyl enthusiast, APRS curates his sets with meticulous selection and graceful flow, blending energetic techno beats with atmospheric elements. His approach invites subtle exploration and experimentation, resulting in cohesive journeys that integrate intense, visceral expression. He has soundtracked renowned venues in Berlin including a recent appearance at Tresor, as well as clubs and festivals in Europe.
 
Collaboration is also integral to his creative process, fostering sound research and enabling the discovery of new areas in electronic music. Working closely with harpist Tancrède, the pair produce live sets in smooth tandem, where the latter weaves the enchanting strings of the electric harp with APRS' machinery.
 
In 2022, APRS co-founded with Serenus the event series Lowpass, centred on the essence of electronic music and committed to diversity, self-expression, and artistic innovation. Lowpass invites established and local artists to perform in various venues across Berlin. In addition to curating the line-ups, APRS often warms up or closes on the night, adapting to transient and packed dancefloors, respectively.
 
Led by an unrushed, explorative approach in the studio, APRS merges emotional vulnerability with maturely crafted sonics, tracing an arc between soothing and searing sounds all the way through.

She loves exploring contrasts, crafting long transitions that seamlessly move between seemingly opposing sounds.

Rudolph Fenz (Vigo, 09/1985) es un DJ y productor gallego centrado en un sonido de pista profundo y con carácter. Su proyecto actual orbita alrededor del techno hipnótico —mental, atmosférico, con alma—, en constante diálogo con el electro más afilado y el house más rítmico y minimalista.

Con un bagaje forjado desde distintos frentes —como cantante, bajista y promotor de eventos—, su visión musical bebe de una cultura sonora transversal, en la que conviven la intensidad del directo con la precisión del estudio y el criterio del selector. A lo largo de su trayectoria ha recorrido cabinas de referencia en España y Portugal, dejando su huella en clubes, festivales y proyectos donde la electrónica se vive con autenticidad.
A lo largo de los años ha formado parte de colectivos como Invasive Sessions, donde exploró diversas vertientes de la bass music (drum and bass, UKG, breaks…), y FAKKE Collective, centrado en el electro en todas sus formas. Actualmente colabora como programador en Hypnotik Club junto a LXST, un pequeño espacio en Vigo donde la electrónica se programa con criterio, riesgo y honestidad.

Gothenburg-born DJ and producer Mohajer brings her galvanizing spirit and sophisticated cuts to the series with a 73-minute release. The Swedish veteran and key member of Fast Forward Productions has cultivated over a decade’s worth of sounds from her Berlin base and provided the soundtrack for her mp3 parties as co-founder and long-running resident, as well as for gatherings across a spate of clubs like RSO, Tresor, Berghain, Fold and Basement. Her productions play with her Persian heritage and a blend of electronic music genres to bring a fresh and uplifting take to market: a sensual and bustling mix of driving techno with a heavy focus on community building and human connection. Her dynamo beats emerge from her deep understanding of a dancefloor’s energy, and render obvious her quick-witted feel for music and people. Her forthcoming EP on Spray’s Punctuality Records twists that palette into something bold and elastic: a confident cascade of mystique, mayhem and sensuality. Bassiani Podcast 271 is charged to the brim with her infectious late-night sounds: trippy techno that loops, shifts and builds in intensity, seductive grooves and immersive frequencies from a well-versed Wahlberliner. Techno was inevitable for the Zenker Brothers. Eldest brother Dario cottoned on first, using his family ties to Munich’s infamous Ultraschall club to edge into the DJ booth as an enthu- siastic teen. Following its demise he migrated to Harry Klein with the rest of the Ultraschall crew, picking up a residency in 2006 that has only just been brought to a close. It was at this stage Marco received his own electronic awakening. Inspired by a set of his brother’s at the very same institution, he joined Dario there a year later. Production-wise, however, the brothers continued to pursue separate paths: Dario sewing an assortment of seeds and racking up a wayfaring collec- tion of records for labels like Frozen Border, Vakant, Time To Express and Traut Muzik. Meanwhile Marco was cultivating deep and dreamy techno on the Zenkers’ own Ilian Tape stable.

After years of playing and working together side by side, in 2011 they emerged in official collaboration as Zenker Brothers with ‘Berg 10 EP’. Now, the Zenker Brothers are back with their first release for Tresor, brandishing a matured sound and level of sensitivity yet displayed by either before. ‘Lion In Mars’ is like a fresh breeze billowing through the Tresor vaults. Honing in on signa- tures from the archive and repackaging them in modern sentiment, here Zenker Brothers deliver a record that gleans through the generations to deliver a cunning symbiosis of techno future, past and present. On the A-side “Knighthof” and “The Future Is You” offer driving vintage basement techno with a Zenker twist, whilst B-side tracks “Davin” and “Cosmilian”, the EP’s clattering dystopic closer, blend Detroit tones together with their respective Ilian-proven pallets.

A2. Zenker Brothers - The Future Is You

At midnight, on March 13th 1991, a basement door opened at Leipziger Strasse 126, Berlin. Through this door, many passed, on their way to defining new terrains in electronic music. There they found a dance floor in the vaults of a closed-down department store, with a unique sound bound to dense fog, building night after night a history that was also a vision of the future. 

This history has seen in Jeff Mills’ first sets on three turntables, Underground Resistance's first live appearances in Europe, grandiose Tresor Park parties, to various chapters of the Loveparade with Sven Väth in the 90s and since then countless generation-spanning parties. These moments represent the highlights of infinite personal clubbing experiences. It is the manifestation of the Berlin spirit, emerging from its considerable strife. This history is not without its complications - from temporary closure by the authorities and several raids in the early years to closure and demolition of the old location in 2005. What followed was years of wandering in exile and, finally, resurrection in the new home in Kraftwerk Berlin.

These stories, conversations and shared experiences within our walls forge a resilience that drives towards a shared ideal, the Tresor sound: community, resistance, and the world to come. This was observed in the newly re-unified German youth, who danced and celebrated together from the club’s inception, and into the present day through ongoing community work in Detroit. 

Tresor Records was founded in the same year and began to serve as a platform for exporting the new sounds associated with Tresor all around the world. Emergent musicians from Michigan, such as Juan Atkins, Underground Resistance and Drexciya, were pivotal in shaping these early years. Their visits to Berlin would kick-start dialogue between the youth movement in Europe and these musicians. This story is one of friendship and community-building, inextricably linked with cities like Detroit, Birmingham or Edinburgh, where like-minded friends built something truly special, where revelatory rhythms soundtrack decaying industry in corrupted metropoles. 

Tresor Records has been the fertile soil for dozens upon dozens of creative minds, from the very luminaries of the scene who developed electronic music over the last three decades through to contemporary protagonists who are currently defining the sound of the future -  A more than 300 strong catalogue displays an unmistakable identity - the Tresor spirit.

To those that have danced before, and to those that will dance in the future: the light at the end of the long Tresor tunnel is a signal. A flicker amidst the fog. This is our future. This is our place.
