Fuse is a disco at 208 rue Blaes in the Marolles district of the Belgian capital Brussels. The business was opened in 1994 and has a capacity of 800 people.

The location of the current Fuse initially housed a neighborhood cinema that changed its name several times: Cinema Blaes (1925-1933), Cinema Iris (1934-1940) and finally Cinema R.A.F. (1947-71). Later Le Disque Rouge, a disco where many Spaniards came here. This business was taken over by the West Flemish Thierry Coppens and Peter Decuypere, who turned it into disco Fuse in 1994.

Coppens has organized the gay party La Demence since 1989, which has taken place every month in the Fuse since then. Together with Decuypere he saw a bright future for the music genre techno and the Fuse became one of the best techno clubs in the world. The business was also named best club in Belgium by the Belgian entertainment magazine Nightcode and DJ Pierre as the best Belgian resident DJ.

Peter Decuypere left Fuse in 1997 to focus on his event I Love Techno in Ghent. Thierry Coppens sold discotheque Fuse at the end of 2007 to his friends Nick Ramoudt and Dominique Martens in order to dedicate himself entirely to La Demence.

In 2013, Fuse, as the best Belgian discotheque, finished 34th on the DJ Magazine's list of 100 best clubs in the world. Fuse was praised for its timelessness and quirky character and "the new lasers and LED screens describe the location as a place where ET would feel at home."

Started in June 1994
Space Night started on Bavarian television on June 1, 1994. Georg Scheller and his team edited the sequences recorded from the NASA space shuttle and added atmospheric music to them. Since they didn't want to send the same images seven days a week, Bönte and Scheller turned to NASA, ESA and the German Aerospace Center (DLR). These had hours of recordings of sequences in and around space, which were made available to Bayerischer Rundfunk free of charge.

Cult status and Music
Space Night quickly became a "cult": At raves in the mid-1990s, it was not uncommon for Space Night images to be shown on TV screens. After the early morning raves, Space Night was and is often used to chill out, especially since from 1996 the sound of Space Night became very electronic with the musical advice of Alex Azary, a European chill-out DJ. Alex Azary was included by Georg Scheller.[3] Azary led the Club XS in Frankfurt, where chill-out nights started in 1990, which were accompanied by spherical music. In addition, the images from Space Night ran, but played a little slower. These images went well with the then new style of music and Alex Azary felt he had to show this to the people at BR. A meeting took place in Munich, where Azary was able to convince the initiators of the show, Georg Scheller[4] and Andreas Bönte, as well as the Space Night team, to dare something new. After that, individual pieces followed. They were created by musician Marc Engelhard.

The pieces of music are also available as separate CDs, the mixing from the album Space Night II is done by Electrolux. Twelve CD albums with music for the series have now been released, with three albums deviating significantly from the usual music style. Space Night Vol. 1 is a pop music album, Space Night Vol. 10 is a jazz music album, and Space Night Vol. 12 is a double CD classical music album. A DVD called Best of Earth-Views is also available.

Carhartt WIP Radio says rest in peace to 50WEAPONS - the Berlin based 'techno plus' label that was formed by Modeselektor in 2005. Already from the start the game plan for 50WEAPONS was stopping business after 50 releases. Now, the label is due to close down, but has decided to go out with a royal bang. Specifically, 50WEAPONS have organised a world tour presented by Carhartt WIP that will stop in towns like Paris, Manchester, Hamburg, Montreal or New York. Furthermore they will release a limited collector's box set, consisting of eleven pieces of vinyl, and a USB device with twenty-two tracks - the last scheduled release by the label. For Carhartt WIP Radio label head honchos Modeselektor prepared a one hour good-bye show in which they tried to mix the tracks from the last couple of 50WEAPONS releases in a way that would make sense to the listener and to Modeselektor as DJs.

At midnight, on March 13th 1991, a basement door opened at Leipziger Strasse 126, Berlin. Through this door, many passed, on their way to defining new terrains in electronic music. There they found a dance floor in the vaults of a closed-down department store, with a unique sound bound to dense fog, building night after night a history that was also a vision of the future. 

This history has seen in Jeff Mills’ first sets on three turntables, Underground Resistance's first live appearances in Europe, grandiose Tresor Park parties, to various chapters of the Loveparade with Sven Väth in the 90s and since then countless generation-spanning parties. These moments represent the highlights of infinite personal clubbing experiences. It is the manifestation of the Berlin spirit, emerging from its considerable strife. This history is not without its complications - from temporary closure by the authorities and several raids in the early years to closure and demolition of the old location in 2005. What followed was years of wandering in exile and, finally, resurrection in the new home in Kraftwerk Berlin.

These stories, conversations and shared experiences within our walls forge a resilience that drives towards a shared ideal, the Tresor sound: community, resistance, and the world to come. This was observed in the newly re-unified German youth, who danced and celebrated together from the club’s inception, and into the present day through ongoing community work in Detroit. 

Tresor Records was founded in the same year and began to serve as a platform for exporting the new sounds associated with Tresor all around the world. Emergent musicians from Michigan, such as Juan Atkins, Underground Resistance and Drexciya, were pivotal in shaping these early years. Their visits to Berlin would kick-start dialogue between the youth movement in Europe and these musicians. This story is one of friendship and community-building, inextricably linked with cities like Detroit, Birmingham or Edinburgh, where like-minded friends built something truly special, where revelatory rhythms soundtrack decaying industry in corrupted metropoles. 

Tresor Records has been the fertile soil for dozens upon dozens of creative minds, from the very luminaries of the scene who developed electronic music over the last three decades through to contemporary protagonists who are currently defining the sound of the future -  A more than 300 strong catalogue displays an unmistakable identity - the Tresor spirit.

To those that have danced before, and to those that will dance in the future: the light at the end of the long Tresor tunnel is a signal. A flicker amidst the fog. This is our future. This is our place.
