brutal mix from start to finish, Mareena´s sessions are a true tribute to dance music for the special sensitivity, open musical language, skills, intuition, knowledge, (background, present, future,,) in one word, talent...in my opinion, she´s an absolute top dj...(hello everybody from Barcelona!!..)

Imagine growing up near Berlin, getting into dance music, going to Berghain for the first time and getting your mind blown by techno. Then, ten years later, you become a resident DJ at the fabled club. Not many people—any people?—can claim this story, but for Fadi Mohem, what would be so many DJs' dreams became a reality. After getting his 2017 debut 12-inch Reckless in the hands of all the right people in Berlin, Mohem established a bold, bouncy techno sound with releases on Modeselektor's Seilscheibenpfeiler, Ben Klock's Klockworks and FJAAK's SPANDAU20, pretty much the cream of the crop of modern techno.

Now, this year, he's becoming one of Berghain's newest residents, alongside other exciting names like Sedef Adasï and Naty Seres (and Lakuti upstairs at Panorama Bar). As heard on his recent collaborative with Ben Klock, Mohem has modern techno down to a science, thanks to a combination of reverence for the old-school and clever rhythmic touches, like the irresistible snare pattern on "Prefix." His RA Podcast sounds like what you might expect from a new generation of Berghain resident: aerodynamic, heavy and, honestly a little midtempo compared to a lot of other young techno DJs. It's the sound the club has made world-famous, with cuts from Reeko, Heiko Laux and Truncate, plus some special moments from aya, DJ Deeon and Petar Dundov. It takes a certain kind of DJ to get to this hallowed place, and Fadi Mohem deserves it.

Trans activist, visual artist, filmmaker and eternal music lover, @dian3k started mixing thanks to the creation of Roue Libre after-party collective. Subsequently, she participated in the creation of Queer Working Class Heroes, Pollypocket, and became a resident at Toyz parties.

Firstly playing ambient music, Diane then crafted her musical path that she discovered in Berlin, which is about Deep-house / Minimal / Micro / Mental house. 
While playing, she takes you on a train with no destination.

Through her sets and events she curates in the Paris region, she's spreading the idea of ​​free celebration, providing human scale events accessible to all.
The party is political and the dance floor is a demonstration.

Meet @freyakdj, a Hamburg native who found her passion behind the decks during her time in Berlin. Her natural ability to connect with the crowd and contagious energy have earned her a growing reputation in the city’s underground scene. 

Freya K. has a deep love for timeless techno and house on 12“ weapons, but she is always eager to venture into other genres, experiment with different sounds and find sweetspots between genres. 

With this vinyl only mix, she dives deep into her techno collection and combined recent favorites ranging from fresh finds like Key Vinyl and SK Eleven releases to oldschool gems from CLR and Speaker Attack.

Was such an awesome opportunity to play my first live techno orientated set at Berlins oldest techno club. The sound in there was amazing and the crowd was so full of energy. 

Its nice to go in with a bit of a plan but be able to take the energy from the crowd and drive the machines in to new places i didn't plan on. All my favourite parts happened with non planned/programmed elements.

 Its so cool to have the recording, otherwise who knows what even happened in that one hour, things go by so quick.

At midnight, on March 13th 1991, a basement door opened at Leipziger Strasse 126, Berlin. Through this door, many passed, on their way to defining new terrains in electronic music. There they found a dance floor in the vaults of a closed-down department store, with a unique sound bound to dense fog, building night after night a history that was also a vision of the future. 

This history has seen in Jeff Mills’ first sets on three turntables, Underground Resistance's first live appearances in Europe, grandiose Tresor Park parties, to various chapters of the Loveparade with Sven Väth in the 90s and since then countless generation-spanning parties. These moments represent the highlights of infinite personal clubbing experiences. It is the manifestation of the Berlin spirit, emerging from its considerable strife. This history is not without its complications - from temporary closure by the authorities and several raids in the early years to closure and demolition of the old location in 2005. What followed was years of wandering in exile and, finally, resurrection in the new home in Kraftwerk Berlin.

These stories, conversations and shared experiences within our walls forge a resilience that drives towards a shared ideal, the Tresor sound: community, resistance, and the world to come. This was observed in the newly re-unified German youth, who danced and celebrated together from the club’s inception, and into the present day through ongoing community work in Detroit. 

Tresor Records was founded in the same year and began to serve as a platform for exporting the new sounds associated with Tresor all around the world. Emergent musicians from Michigan, such as Juan Atkins, Underground Resistance and Drexciya, were pivotal in shaping these early years. Their visits to Berlin would kick-start dialogue between the youth movement in Europe and these musicians. This story is one of friendship and community-building, inextricably linked with cities like Detroit, Birmingham or Edinburgh, where like-minded friends built something truly special, where revelatory rhythms soundtrack decaying industry in corrupted metropoles. 

Tresor Records has been the fertile soil for dozens upon dozens of creative minds, from the very luminaries of the scene who developed electronic music over the last three decades through to contemporary protagonists who are currently defining the sound of the future -  A more than 300 strong catalogue displays an unmistakable identity - the Tresor spirit.

To those that have danced before, and to those that will dance in the future: the light at the end of the long Tresor tunnel is a signal. A flicker amidst the fog. This is our future. This is our place.
