Adana Twins return to Diynamic with a thunderous 4-track EP titled „1983“, an homage to the sound of the first year Benjamin and Friso spent on Earth. 
It starts off with „Clocks“, an eerie Dark Wave, almost Post Punk-ish track that features the vocals of fellow Hamburg act Kraków Loves Adana and sets you right into the 80s.
Title track „1983“ touches back on the EBM sound of the era, with energetic sequenced basslines and a retro synths and sounds, giving you an authentic feel of that time. 
Track 3 is titled „Neonlicht“ and is the second feature with Kraków Loves Adana - a slow and hypnotic groove, complete with 808 drums and orchestra hits. 
And closing off the record is „Mauro Picasso“, a feature with Phunkadelica that ushers in the Italo Disco era. Robotic vocals and dreamy synths transport you right to the beach clubs of Rimini.
All in all an incredibly versatile record that demonstrates the talents of the Adana Twins at its best.

AEON is a label that’s really in a rich vein of form. Following on from the success of Jenia Tarsol’s recent ‘Strom’ EP, which found it’s way into a myriad of tastemakers boxes, they welcome French man of the moment, Darlyn Vlys for a stunning EP.
The title track Traca y Pólvora is a powerful, melodic masterpiece. A driving, dynamic groove underpins an irresistible bass line anointed with, vocodered vocal snippets and huge emotional pads for an almost trancelike euphoric journey. Serpentine is similarly exciting, but darker in it’s approach. A relentless bass line is main feature here, with a broken beat just adding to the drama and sinister vocals complete the vibe with devastating effect.
Remix duties are fulfilled by Cooper Saver, with his first outing on the label, and label stalwarts Speaking Minds and Amarcord. Cooper Saver has been in fine form of late. His recent release, 'The Search' on Permanent Vacation was huge and is still being hammered in the clubs. Here he takes on Traca y Pólvora with a stunning remix. A slightly lighter take on the original with an easy groove and a moving bass line that makes this the perfect end of the night track.  Meanwhile, Speaking Minds and Amarcord take on Serpentine for their ‘Club Tool Mix’. Their approach is a dark affair, with linear moody elements throughout which takes the track into peak time ‘strobe and smoke’ territory.
A powerful and impressive package throughout here and yet another stamp of quality from a fine label. File this under Big Room Moments!

Since Biesmans made his debut on AEON last year with his “A Long Road” EP, he has continued to build a profile and musical output that is both exciting and ground breaking. So it’s with great pleasure that we welcome him back to the label for his follow up EP “Top Gun”

Biesmans has decided to showcase two subtly different versions of the title track “Top Gun”. Version 1 is a stunningly produced lo-fi disco workout with nod to 80’s synth classics. A dynamic bass line underpins a delightfully simple but effective groove and delicious melodies. Version 2 is similar in it’s approach but is perhaps a little more strident. Biesmans said “I often make several versions of a track when I’m writing and then focus in on a particular version. In this case I couldn’t decide so I figured let’s release both!'
“Dr Electric” is a more melancholy in it’s approach, with a broken beat, subtle synths and vocodered vocals taking centre stage, with almost blissful prog rock leanings in places.

Remix duties are taken up by Permanent Vacation head honcho and AEON favorite Benjamin Fröhlich and Italian duo Phunkadelica.
Both have chosen to tackle “Dr Electric” and the results are sublime. Fröhlich’s approach stays closest to the original but employs a tougher breakbeat as the foundation for his version, borrowing heavily from the synth content before delivering a driving bass line to take the track into peak time territory. Phunkadelica’s more traditional progressive house style treatment serves up a more hypnotic mix with a galloping baseline and an ever evolving layered style that draws in the listener until a breakdown delivers the spin tingling moments.

Another perfectly balanced EP from the AEON crew with something to satisfy all palates.
