Before Popsy became a Musical Artist , he was just a kid from the Southern part of Nigeria with an equal love for Jay-Z bars and JuiceWrld songs. His  favorite artists (Lil TJay, Ian Dior) taught him melody. Today, that melody is the 16-year-old’s gift as well as a catalyst for his embryonic hip-hop stardom. To hear the rhyme rookie’s early succession of rap songs is to experience aqua flows and stark hooks as addictive as Instagram’s discovery page. A closer listen offers the biography of a kid who made music in his room with just a laptop and earphone microphones. Raised in a Nigerian neighborhood saturated with gang culture and deficient of positivity, Popsy eventually earned himself a year of incarceration. The studio would be his saving grace and destiny. His first recording was the heartless yet catchy “I Swear”.  The catchy hook and sophisticated sounds snatched ears.
