Iwamaki plays Drone ＆ Ambient techno as a DJ since 2015 and live since 2019
She has played a remarkable set at dommune for the "Hardcore ambience" event in 2017 and since then has made a name paying at Contact Tokyo, VENT Tokyo, kagurane soup etc...
Her live approach is a deep drone journey.

東京都出身。
2015年より東京、茨城を拠点に趣味にてDJ活動を開始。
何層かのdroneの和音にexperimentalやnoiseを重ねたアプローチ。
2016年ドローン大学卒業。
2017年にはdommune出演。その後も神楽音、contact Tokyo、VENT tokyo、soupなどでDJを行う。
2019年よりLIVE活動を始動。
Droneベースに音の繊細な変化や展開を感じるLIVEアプローチです。音に入り込める瞬間を作れたらと思います。

昨年TOKYOのftarriでのLIVEパフォーマンスを編集したものです。

Welcome to yet another immersive experience, in this case by Morpha.

Morpha, real name - Alexander, was born in the south of Russia, currently based in St. Petersburg. He was signed to labels such as Secuencia Temporales, Profundo Collective, KVLTO Records. He is one of the founders of the young community "Ephemeral". A community focused on promoting deep, techno sound in Russia and beyond.

His sets are eclectic and profound experiences, his attention to details and subtle sound design are the signature of his work.

Frozen states and gentle frequencies are to be expected from this spiritual journey.

Platform Minimal presents @mohodub

The eyes that deceive us and the sound that's beneath us.

The eyes and ears, two of the most acute senses, can be deceptive in their ways. The eyes can show us illusions and visual tricks, causing us to see things that are not there. On the other hand, sound can be manipulated to create an alternate reality or disguise its trustworthy source. The idea of the eyes and ears deceiving us speaks to the concept that perception is not always reality and that our minds can be tricked into believing false information. This can have positive and negative implications, from creating art to spreading misinformation. Ultimately, it highlights the importance of being critically aware of our sensory experiences and questioning what we see and hear to truly understand the world around us.

Bio/
After an awakening experience listening to the last song of a bird genus native to Hawaii, Moho takes inspiration from endangered and extinct species to create deep and hypnotic sound journeys.
Bottom of the ocean, the peak of the mountain. From Lisboa to the world.

For the 10th International Drone Day, we are very happy to share Transience's 50th contribution on Cashmere Radio. For this auspicious occassion we have invited Menou and Paul Josef to join host Lou Drago in the joy of droning. Lou begins the episode with a new work that takes elements of a recent work Still, and reimagines these components in a more narrative form to take listeners on a journey, Menou's hardware synth live set comes next, full of emotion and enthralling the listener before landing in a Japanese melodic ending. Paul Josef's serene modular synth live set closes the episode with gentle swelling harmonics that leave listeners with a warm embrace.

The sets have been uploaded individually, but in the order they were presented on the night. We highly recommend listening on headphones or good speakers from a horizontal-ish position.

Partnering with the Barcelona-based Mostra Festival to showcase some of the recorded sets during their second edition. Mostra is an independent small-format festival of avant-garde and experimental electronic music held in Barcelona on Easter weekend. Menou's live set was showcased on the first day of performances at Hangar centre for art research and production.

Scav (Sofia, Bulgaria) | ‘The waves of Iskar’

We enter the icy but at the same time warm and calm waters of the Iskar River, ready for a proper sailing. The first 1/4 we plow through the (sound) waves and we realize how vital, flexible and millenary the largest entirely Bulgarian river becomes. Foamy waves (subtle noisy soundscapes), tame waves (robotic and metallic textures), calm waves (lovely quiet low groovy textures), and hopeful waves (subtle melodic arp progressions) spilling down the sides of the boat (ears) make that we can move forward with clarity and self- determination. The following 2/4 the river slightly begins to shake causing dark and restless waves (wonderful dark drone perfectly combined with high frequency penetrating sounds) to give truce again and respite to this marvelous journey. 3/4 completed and the beautifulness of the rocky landscapes (soundscapes) are otherworldly. For thousands of years the (sound) waves of Iskar have made their way into the rock, carving out forms of incredible shape and (sound) design, which have impressed every visitor (listener). 4/4 we made it. And you, will you navigate the (sound) waves or will you get caught at the tide? 

*The closing set was recorded in September near the river at the Iskar Gorge, where Balkan Station open air festival took place.
