“Les Filles” is patchwork of smaller pieces, that can be listened to individually or as a whole. The record is close to an hour long with 16 short tracks with layout inspired by the Hip Hop mix tape format, Falls uses this fundamental formation by composing shorter experimental and improvised instrumental songs and them brings them together in colourful musical collage. Him music draws on feelings of nostalgia and explores a wide variety of moods and textures within a unique soundscape that only Falls can produce.   

Trevor Falls is a drummer and composer living in Toronto and playing with a wide variety of artists. He has had the chance to perform & record with some great musicians and bands including but not limited to Lauren Falls, Tristan Clark, Seamus Blake, Brad Turner, Dionne Taylor and Kae Sun to name a few. Recently Trevor was accepted into the prestigious Leighton Artist Colony Residency at the Banff Center for the Arts where he composed music for this latest album.
