Missy Smith (QueenEarth) is an acoustic singer/songwriter and creative professional. She has over 15 years of experience as a performer, educator, host, and event planner. In that time, she has released several albums of original lyrical and instrumental music, solo and with bandmates and open mic performers in the Baltimore music community. Her genres range from soul and country to hip hop and gospel. When she is not making music, QueenEarth travels with her educational concert, QueerCore: Behind the Music, to share songwriting stories for LGBTQ audiences and allies. This evolving showcase has been offered as a workshop, retreat, open mic, and community event for cultural celebrations. 

In 2020, she released 3 instrumental projects  to make space for other artists in quarantine. These projects feature jazz/ hip hop production from QueenEarth with her first batch of self produced music and a few guest instrumentalists and emcees. She has evolved from an acoustic singer-songwriter, to producing and playing bass, keys, guitar, and ushering in studio collaborations. The music was featured twice in the Baltimore Magazine The Big Baltimore Playlist: April 2020 and again in June amongst a host of stellar artists, Black Musicians Write the Soundtrack of the City.  

In November 2020, QueenEarth released a solo lyrical EP, Queer Core: Behind the Music. This collection showcases her hip hop and R&B roots, with some awesome wordplay and catchy hooks. In addition, she created several visual stories for her new music, all available on IG and Youtube. The visual stories playlist is on Youtube Songs for Isolation: Jazz/ Hip Hop Instrumentals Youtube playlist.
