Renowned filmmaker and Austinite Richard Linklater joins Trey & BK ahead of an event celebrating the life of former Texas Longhorns baseball coach Augie Garrido, hosted by the Austin Film Society. The evening includes a showing of Linklater's documentary about Augie and the Texas baseball team, Inning By Inning, followed by a Q&A with Richard and a number of former UT players.
His conversation with Trey & BK includes Linklater's thoughts on Garrido, a man he considered to be a friend; how he was split on whether to include footage that became the doc's lasting scene, when he realized Dazed and Confused was a cult classic, why he values unique storytelling, and much more!
