Here's three fairly strange ambient style tracks I created for a minimal album that I never finished.  Enjoy.

Three - (Original Production Ambient Mix)

After playing a LOT with the 4 CDJ and 2 RMX1000 setup I finally got a good mix going.  This is a beast to maintain and it's so easy to over do it with 4 decks and effects.  Requires some HEAVY EQ to make it sound right.  It really is a new era of DJing, it's just amazing how you can create completely new compositions with sync, eqing, effects and 4 different tracks at once.

Taming the Beast

I believe this is the longest set I've recorded.  Clocks in just over 2.5 hours and starts at 120BPM with some weird lush house and ends up in deep progressive territory at around 126BPM.  Most of it is actually 118-120BPM tracks pitched up, so it makes for an interesting one.

Recorded on 2 CDJ-2000 Nexus, 2 RMX-1000 FX units and the Allen & Heath DB4.  Lots of crazy effects stuff going on with combinations.

Phases - New Gameplay Music

Made this track a few years ago for a game we made called FREE.  It's a remix of a song called Unreal Super Hero 3 which was a chiptune song made in 2001.  It was used on a ton of keygens for pirated software in the early 2000s.  So if it sounds familiar, you have some explaining to do ;)

Here's part two of the Vinyl series.  All classic progressive vinyl records from 1999 to 2002.  This one has a few from the original Bedrock mix, a couple from Communicate and includes labels like Pitch Black, Rhythm Syndicate and Polyester.  

Live recorded using a Zoom HN4 on two Technic 1200s (still rocking after 16 years) and an Allen & Heath DB4.   Enjoy!

Super laid back mix.  Starting around 118 BPM and moving up to about 120BPM.  Lots of deep house, minimal, etch house and early night techno.

The Inside Mix (Vinyl 006)Classic progressive, house, trance, techno, deep, tech, live vinyl DJ mix

This is a very early mix that slowly ramps it.  You start off around 85 BPM with ambient stuff from The Orb, chill out from Kruder and Dorfmeister, and some great downbeat tracks from Digweed & Nick Muir.  Then it slowly amps up into more housey beats and tops out at 120 BPM.  

It keeps a very melodic atmosphere the whole time.  I used the Pioneer XDJ-RX for this and really like it.   Some fun effects, but you just have to go very slow with them as they can overpower a mix fast.

The Truth Mix (Live Ambient / Chill out / Minimal / House DJ Mix)

Decided to put together a two CD set.  These are both live, and this one starts off with some electro, moves into some deep house, then picks up the pace pretty quick.  The next set finishes it off.

War House Mix

War House Mix - Part 1

Part 2 of the set.  This set is more peak time and driving.  Starts out at 125 and ends up around 128 before bringing back down for the last track.

War House Mix - Part 2

Mix of some classic progressive and house tracks from late 90s early 2000s.  Love this type of sound.  Deep house before deep house became deep house.  No track ilst, but some I remember are a DJ Freddy track, Dominion - Realtime, and Lexicon Ave remix of Baseline Track.  Recorded on my iPad with Djay Pro.  Software can get sketchy, but was good enough this time.

This is a live vinyl mix where most of the tracks are from the dawn of the "dark" progressive house era. My take on this was pitching things down to from around 132 BPM to 124 BPM (about -12% on the tables).  

The recording setup includes two Technics 1200 MK7s, an Allen and Heath DB4, two Pioneer RMX-1000s, and a recording mix of 10% mic and 90% line-in with the Zoom H6.

Ok, so i'm putting up these records last night WAYYYY to the top of the the case.  Which is barely reachable.  I was putting them up because they were kind of crappy records(well so I thought).  I decided to give them one last shot, and ended up finding the weirdest coolest breaky stuff.  These rejects were pretty slick.  Mixed live on A&H DB4, Technic 1200s MK7 and dual fighting Pioneer RMX1000s.
