An eclectic mix of worldwide tribal influences aggregated into two original tracks and one remix. These tracks grind along with winding synths and large evolving bass lines, punctuated by deep tribal percussion and psychedelic sprinklings.

Voodoo, a spiritual means of healing and witchcraft is still practiced strongly in indigenous
cultures to heal bodily ailments, connect with the spiritual world, and to thwart off (and
sometimes summon) evil spirits. The use of tribal music, rhythmic chants and dance are
commonly used in conjunction with voodoo ritual. It is through these elements a trance
mind-state is provoked amongst the voodoo ritual performers and its participants.

In many cultures around the world, the witch-doctor holds a strong status in their community.
They are considered important figures, sages of knowledge, healer of ailments, and
communicator between human and spirit world. It is the witch-doctor who performs voodoo
rituals, leads chants and recites spells while being accompanied by an integral part of the whole voodoo experience: the sound of rhythmic drumming and/or other musical elements.

Although it is thought to be mystical, and sometimes taboo in some cultures, voodoo is a very traditional means of healing and a vehicle towards spiritual oneness in others. It’s practice may be dark, however voodoo may lead one towards a state of enlightenment.

Tribal Trance & Voodoo Dance is a DJ mix by Lunarbeets inspired by witch-doctors, voodoo,
and the ritual of dance. The track selection is primarily dark tribal and progressive house
hand-picked from a diverse list of record labels and producers with release dates between
2000a.d. and 2004a.d. to create a mixed compilation that is both dynamic and timeless.

At first, you’ll think, “Hmm... this is pretty.” When suddenly, it takes you to a place you’ll think
you’re going to regret going to because it’s so dark and scary. As you listen to the music, your heart will beat faster, your soul will open up to the universe, and your body will go into
submission with rhythmic dance. Deep inside this dark journey, you look way down towards
Earth as you travel through a different dimension with your soul as your guide. In the end, you
awake from this state yet with your eyes closed to find yourself still dancing with a smile on your
face.

This set is not what’s hot but is laid out to put you in a voodoo trance with Lunarbeets as your witch-doctor. Hearts pound to sounds from the underground.

Klipsun is the alter ego of Lucas Bonatto Diaz, a young producer from the South of Brazil. Klipsun comes from the latin word “ipsum”, which means “himself”, meaning that art is a way of expressing consciousness and human emotions. His music is not determined by a continuous and specific formula, but is simply the reflection of his life translated into the language of music.
His musical influences pass through southern instrumental music, by Glitch / Sound Design, Techno, Progressive, Psytrance, among others. Thus defining a unique sound, intelligent, cinematic, futuristic and highly detailed. With long histories, sometimes emotive, giving way to moments of introspection, this music is ideal to be heard during the day.

Tribal Knowledge is a conceptual project created by producer Justin Mitchell who resides in the foothills of the Watagan Mountains near newcastle. After spending time further north studying at SAE in Brisbane and Byron Bay soaking up the lush vibes on offer his production has gained momentum moving through various sub genres of trance Music, Manifesting and sculpting his own reflection of the scene and the sound with an aim to spread light and knowledge back to a scene that has prospered his evolution and spiritual growth. <3
