Four years on from their landmark Grassroots, visionary half-time heavyweights The Untouchables return with their third album, Lost Knowledge. The duo of Kate McGill and Ajit ‘Nitrox’ Steyns have carved out a space in modern D&B all their own, building on a legacy that reaches back to the late 00s to keep pushing into unexplored terrain with an assured and deadly line in rhythmic intrigue and atmospheric immersion. 
 
Lost Knowledge launches into action instantly with the high-pressure drum science and dubby splashes of ‘Drunken Bells’, capturing the loopy techno propulsion and rolling intensity that drives so much of the output on Samurai Music. Where The Untouchables excel is in finding variety and nuance in their relatively forbidding, pared down sound.  

Nothing happens by accident or feels out of place — McGill and Steyns are in total control, and they demonstrate incredible range and inventive approaches within their focused style. The accent of the grooves shifts, and individual sounds carry all kinds of artefacts, yet everything gets folded into the exacting Untouchables sound with a liberal dubwise sensibility. London-based dubstep, drum and bass, experimental bass and ambient music producer & DJ, Sentient, has carved himself a niche in bass music with crushing, genre-spanning soundscapes, moving fluidly between various styles and sounds.

 Inspired by horror game soundtracks with heavy, crushing atmospheres, his love of classical and hardcore music, and the idea of dissociation and abstraction from the everyday, Sentient’s distinctive sound fuses these influences resulting in a mesmerising blend of gloomy and oppressive sonic landscapes that aim to move the listener to an intangible plain outside of their field of vision.

 Signed to Bristol-based Foundation Audio (UK) as well as XCPT music (IT), QEONE (DE), DNO Records (UK), Dub Colony (CH), WobWob! The last 5 years have been something else. It's been a whirlwind of killer records, studios, projects and creativity, and parties in warehouses, clubs and castles. It's been the coming together of a tribe and a family, and it's all been over those crazy hypnotic rhythms. 

Now we're bringing you a package to celebrate the last 5 years, and to set the course for where we're going. TRIP013 contains new material alongside parts of our history. 

Acidulant brings us the fresh acid workout 'Pulse Modification', while Boom Merchant drowns us in the melting distortion of 'Malky's Sorrow'. Fragile X delivers complex breakbeat rhythms with 'Cerulean' and Cedren and Manu-l go deep with the perpetually evolving 'Absence'. New to the label, Nohow is the new project of Andrea Crestani, and he debuts with '3.0', a sprawling analogue banger. Canadian synth wizard Dark Arps joins us also, opening his account with the gritty Alt_Trx.

Two of our past recordings got the remix treatment for the occasion, with Takashi Watanabe (DJ Warp) adding a killer bite to Alexander Koning's Attend The Tension, and Dark Arps expanding on the melodies of Acidulant's Kraknak.

We've added material from Dave Seaman, Pole Folder, Sonic Union and Khen, Johnny Kaos, DJ Warp, Boom Merchant, Kaban and Di Rugerio, Deepfunk and Acidulant to deliver a comprehensive collection of psychedelic voodoo music.
