"In the year 2147, Earth is a world ravaged by ecological catastrophe and endless conflict, where the remnants of past civilisations are scattered across a desolate landscape. The few survivors struggle to survive in technologically advanced enclaves, while nature, now hostile, slowly reasserts its rights over the ruins of ancient metropolises."

Diapasøn, a passionate and versatile artist, has had a deep interest in music and playing instruments of all kinds from an early age. It was in 2012 that he fully immersed himself in the world of electronic music, a way for him to fully express his passion for contemporary influences.

In 2015, he founded Cosmic Wave, initially as a collective, quickly evolving into a label that he has been managing since 2017 with releases including 9beats, Vardae, dc11, Atoloi, Mersel and more recently Valentino Mora.
A lover of vinyl, he fashions a unique sonic universe, navigating between ambient and psychedelic techno. His captivating music creates soundscapes imbued with emotion and bewitching textures.

For this occasion, he has crafted a 70-minute mix that encapsulates this unique sonic journey, immersing listeners in deep, evolving rhythms and evocative sound design.

“In today's world, where electronic music continues to evolve from the ground up, my ambition is to bring listening back to something experiential and deeply engaging. Through a language that blends the illusion of fast rhythms with the intricate complexity of experimental music, I aim to create a listening experience that invites deeper appreciation and exploration,” says Maldarella.

His DJ sets fuse sci-fi-inspired elements with tribal grooves, while his live performances create spatial, hypnotic environments where he explores free improvisation and modular synthesis, uncovering old vinyl records and driving the dancefloor through unique techno experiences. From the intense, peak-energy of his selections to more immersive applications—where his custom-designed multichannel systems offer listeners rich, depth textures—he embodies a commitment to expanding the sonic possibilities in both physical and auditory space. Daniele’s involvement with @derioflorence collective and label, as well as his co-founding role in the @sinestesie___ event series, highlights his dedication to fostering innovative cultural spaces within the underground scene. His work with @sarabamba, a queer collective that combines music and performance art, and his role as a selector for Fango Radio, further solidify his position as a multifaceted artist within this evolving realm.

With "First Contact", he offers a psychedelic journey that pushes consciousness boundaries through immersive sonic layers, while his selections span ambient, IDM, and techno, pushing those fresh artists and friends who are lately impacting the underground scene.
