Nothing sounded the same after what happened on October 12. Every song he heard on that trip - from the Full Moon Party, the lounge bar, the hotel lobby - he couldn’t listen to them again without feeling a deep guilt, shame and confusion. He struggled to even remember what happened, at least in any linear way, but occasionally, when he would hear a song or a sound, he would feel it coming back, like storm-clouds finally bursting with rain.
