Following an extended teaching journey in Europe, I staked my tent in the studio of CIUT radio in the heart of downtown Toronto. For the past 26 years, I've hosted NO MAN'S LAND and have earned a reputation among a loyal audience for unique, groove-driven explorations into the evolution of world music & global electronica.

From Indo-Arabic Dub to Afro-Latin Funk to Gypsy-Swing Electronica, sets flow seamlessly from soothing ancient rhythms and textures through rippling primitive &amp; progressive beats, always challenging cultural boundaries &amp; musical traditions. This genre-bending mixology has generated a throng of listeners locally and internationally + continues to win fans over the airwaves and on dancefloors. NO MAN'S LAND is considered by many to be the top world fusion radio show in Canada. 

Running the gamut of underground parties to mainstream stages, I've produced shows and played DJ sets with dozens of heroes and major international artists. I've spoken at numerous conferences & festivals discussing world music, cultural activism and social citizenship, and have toured across North America as a yoga DJ.

Working closely with the finest clubs and promoters on local and international concerts &amp; parties and through consistent work as an educator, radio producer and cultural ambassador, medman is instrumental in pushing global music forward, and in exposing the international airwaves to the best emerging &amp; established artists in the scene. That was a serious run-on sentence folks. Nevertheless, the recipe is to diligently seek out the finest independent grooves, hook into the leading music labels and spread a weekly healing dose to the masses. Music is our medicine.

Detroit Techno Militia is a record label and a street level DJ/Producer collective dedicated to preserving the legacy of true Detroit electronic music and its proliferation around the world.  We believe in what we do, and take pride in contributing to a tradition that has deeply inspired us. Detroit Techno Militia soldiers work to maintain and preserve the significance of techno made in our native city.

Framewerk have been long establishing an eclectic electronic style that defies genres yet maintains a deep distinctive atmosphere throughout all their music. With influences ranging from 70’s prog rock to 80’s electro, the duo both found a home in the UK acid house scene of the late 80’s and later joined together to form the group “Manhattan” during the mid-90’s progressive house era. These decades of dedicated development and unrelenting passion have kept Darren and Alec continuously at the forefront of the underground electronic music scene. Their work today as “Framewerk” showcases their diverse styles and innate abilities to create and share music that represents the best of the golden eras with a fresh, modern sound all their own.
Using their understanding of quality music to run their well-established imprint Capital Heaven, Framewerk continue to influence the industry with their unique perspective.

With beats on some of the most respected labels in the industry including Hospital Records, Born on Road, Dread Recordings and Jungle Cakes  and has a string of number ones and top 10s under her belt as both a drum and bass artist and owner of Subwoofah; a label that launched the careers of a number of artists that are a constant in D&B today. 

Growing up in her hometown Manchester, now based in Bristol, she blends the sound and energy of the two cities; representing modern day drum and bass with timeless jungle undertones leading to a number of Best DJ award nominations and international tours.

With a unique blend of old school grit and new school innovation, Five Alive is a name that resonates through the techno scene. Hailing from Calgary Alberta, this dynamic DJ has made a mark by seamlessly merging the roots of classic techno with the cutting-edge sounds of contemporary beats.

From underground raves to mainstream festivals, Five Alive captivates audiences with sets that are as nostalgic as they are forward-thinking. With years of experience behind the decks, his ability to read the crowd and create an electrifying atmosphere is unmatched. He draws inspiration from the pioneering artists of the 80s and 90s while pushing the boundaries with modern production techniques.

Known for his intricate mixing skills and deep understanding of techno's evolving landscape, Five Alive crafts soundscapes that take listeners on a journey through time. Emilio Del Canto is a first-generation Canadian with a diverse musical background and upbringing. Since his humble beginnings in Saskatoon, Canada, Emilio has forged himself into a prominent DJ, producer, entrepreneur, and event promoter in the Canadian music industry. He presently operates at the helm of his event companies Foundation House Music and The Treehouse Series in synergy with other artists and was recently nominated for Saskatchewn Music Awards Artist of The Year for Electronic Music. He actively releases tracks that encompass his unique style, taste and passion for electronic music, which always shines through in his work and is held at the forefront of his endeavors.


During his early years, Emilio held a residency at Kass Night Club in Benin, West Africa, and has more recently toured and performed across Canada, the US, and as far South as Mexico and Nicaragua. The influence of his travel and his Chilean roots have resulted in an exciting fusion of musical styles that incorporate an array of tropical, Latin, and tribal-based rhythms as well as deep, soulful melodies, chord progressions, and vocals. The melodic and cultural components of his music are complimented by an expertly integrated range of House Music, Drum & Bass and other contemporary electronic genres. The refined skill he possesses is attributed to decades of music collection, research, and artistic development.

In performance, Emilio is never afraid to break the mold and explore beyond the expected. His musical spontaneity is balanced by the technical finesse he exhibits behind the decks and in the studio. Instinctually responsive to the dynamic ebb and flow of a dance floor, he is able to connect intimately with his audience through his music and effortlessly manipulates the energy throughout his sets. He pours his heart and soul into his craft, and can always be seen playing out, writing tracks, throwing events, and making moves to spread the music he loves.

Keaton Chalifoux, a long time rock musician, first became fascinated with the world of electronic music production after finding inspiration from artists such as Radiohead and Massive Attack.
As the limits of simply being a drummer became less and less satisfying, he began experimenting with virtual instruments and sound design. This progressed into a passionate love for electronic music production as he became more and more infatuated with artists such as Aphex Twin.

With a fusion of ambient sounds and analog synths built upon 
a foundation of complex rhythms, he created Cloudlvl, his first fully electronic musical venture.

Seeing music as a doorway to a spiritual level far beyond material life, Keaton strives to take his listeners on a spiritual and emotional journey.
