Alan Fitzpatrick and Rebuke team up for ‘Nice & Cool Trigga’, backed with a remix from Big Miz. 

Previously collaborating on 2020’s ‘Ultimate Distortion’, We Are The Brave label-boss Alan Fitzpatrick and Drumcode, Hot Creations, and Dirtybird star Rebūke join forces once again, this time for Patrick Topping’s Trick imprint. Recruiting Big Miz (Dixon Avenue Basement Jams, Shall Not Fade) on remix duties, the result is a pair of no-holds-barred floor fillers destined for dancefloor mania. 

The original mix of ‘Nice & Cool Trigga’ sees pounding kicks and breakbeats wrestle with euphoric rave pads, forming an anthemic and heaving track. Big Miz’s remix sees the Glaswegian DJ/producer inject his signature club-friendly energy, twisting elements of the original into a rowdy, hands-in-the-air affair.

‘The Angel’ kicks off with the sort of dynamism Trick releases are becoming known for. Disco licks, vocal snips and crisp snare rolls push the track’s dancefloor impact potential through the roof. For Darius Syrossian’s remix, the Defected affiliate pulls back on the original’s elements, introducing tension and release throughout a series of entertaining builds and fresh vocal chops. ‘I’ve Got The Feeling’ ups the energy, leading into rowdy rave stabs, soaring samples, and pounding drums, leading into closing cut ‘I’ve Got The Groove’, which maintains the energy with sharp, visceral bass and skippy percussion to round out the release

Archie Hamilton's MicroHertz imprint brings even more heat to an already scorcher of a summer, with UK based Maskery and his Got Me EP for the perfect release as we finish the summer and head into Autumn. 

Bringing his talents from Manchester UK to dance floors around the world, Maskery is definitely someone worth paying attention to as we’re sure we’ll hear a lot more from this young up and comer. 

Going after it right from the get-go, Maskery unleashes ‘Got Me’, a track that certainly got label boss Archie Hamilton’s attention, so much that it’s a regular in his sets around the world. Maskery showcases his studio skills with a strong groovy beat that continuously pushes the pace waiting patiently for the fat bass line that completes this track with a quirky old school arp synth line and clever vocal samples. 

On the flip side this talented producer drops ‘Every Day’, a main room house bomb that slowly build towards the drop with a straightforward quality groove that joins up with a big bass line that adds even more energy to this powerful track . Laced with slick vocal samples, funky stabs and funky effects, this is anything but your ‘Every Day’ track.

Trick is an acclaimed dance music label and event brand owned and curated by global dance music icon, Patrick Topping.

The Newcastle native launched Trick in 2019 as a platform to spot and champion emerging artists, both in the studio and behind the decks. Since then, Trick has become one of the scene's most popular underground dance music event brands and record labels, launching the careers of some of the UK's biggest ticket-sellers and creating a cult fan following along the way.

As a record label, Trick is set to his 100 releases in 2024 and has given an outlet to many new signings who have since become some of the fastest-rising stars in the UK, such as Ben Hemsley, Hannah Laing and Ewan McVicar, who delivered platinum-certified “Tell Me Something Good” along the way. 

Trick's loyal fanbase has become one of the most passionate communities in dance music, with fans sporting Trick's signature lightning bolt on merchandise and tattoos at events throughout the UK and beyond. From completing a 9-date residency in 2022 at Ibiza's legendary DC10, to hosting a stage at EDC Orlando 2022, to attracting 10,000 ravers to The Warehouse Project in Manchester and bringing thousands to an Australian Debut in Melbourne in 2023. Then there is the Trick Weekenders, Budapest in 2022 and Tenerife in 2023. These events both saw 2,500 Trick Troops holiday and party together abroad, with Trick Tenerife this year set to double in size.

In 2024 Patrick is set to give back to his roots, bringing legions of fans to his hometown of Newcastle this summer 2024 with the launch of Trick Fest. Trick will also return to Ibiza, hosting a four-date residency in Hï’s Theatre on Wednesdays.
