Snakepit Mini Mix (2021)

De Profundis is an ancient latin term meaning "a cry from the depths of the soul"

This track is about grief, healing of heartbreak and the rediscovery of self.

Pain is like the ocean, it comes and goes in waves.

Grieving a loss and losing a part of yourself can be the most intense and life changing process you'll ever go through. It can challenge you to your core.

Healing is a messy journey. 

They say grief comes in stages.
But it doesn’t happen in a linear way, you move back and forth, sometimes it feels like you take 1 step forward and 3 steps back. But somehow you're still moving.

Vulnerability becomes your only refuge, authenticity your beacon,
In the tempest of emotion, only truth remains.

To feel deeply is to be reborn, to taste the full spectrum of existence,
Each emotion a brushstroke on the canvas of the soul.

And then time passes, 
You know you have to let go.
You look back one last time, in gratitude of the lessons learned.
The tears dry out.
Truth emerges.
You find joy again, profound and unyielding.

You appreciate the good moments and people in your life because you know that nothing is permanent.
Your level of compassion has grown and you can now hold more space for others.

If you have or are experiencing grief, sadness or suffering, know that nothing is permanent and the sun will rise again.
Like the eternal dance of the tides,
Our emotions ebb and flow, a testament to our resilience,
For in every rise and fall, we find life's greatest gift: the gift of being alive.

After a 22 hour round trip with many off road adventures, thinking back to The Town is nothing but pure JOY! Gorgeous surrounds, lovely people, muchos dancing and ridiculous antics from everyone who emphatically embraced TOWEL TIME 5/5/18. 

This set is more Simpsons heavy than usual, due to the performance nature of The Town. It also has more nerve induced train wrecks as a result of performing live in towels (that kept threatening to fall off a expose our shame).... Please forgive us, and enjoy the bangz.

Morning piano set to start the Saturday off. Close friend who was nicknamed Red Dragon passed away few days before this festival. It was tough set, bit slopps at times but raw and real. Subsequently would rather post as is, than edit. Pain into art, art into art.
