The Wunderkammer musical project was born from the idea of ​​Salvatore Montieri, in continuous research and musical experimentation.
The desire to face different musical and instrumental dimensions, combining the classical discipline with the inspiration of jazz and rock / pop music, and the search for new sound and percussive effects creates a mixture of unique, original and magical sounds!

Wunderkammer, "chamber of wonders", is an expression belonging to the German language, used to indicate particular environments in which, from the sixteenth century to the eighteenth century, collectors used to keep collections of extraordinary objects for their intrinsic and external characteristics.
That of the Wunderkammer was a typical phenomenon of the sixteenth century, which however has its roots in the Middle Ages. It then developed throughout the seventeenth century, feeding on the Baroque grandeur and continued until the eighteenth century favored by the typical love for scientific curiosities, typical of the Enlightenment.

Started writing this late at night April 14th into April 15th, 1-3am, one of those unexpected nights. I had a feeling, a thought and this came together fast. Finished it up today and did this live take tonight on the ol Baldwin. It's been awhile since something has struck me so quick. Patrice5 (https://soundcloud.com/patrice55) and I are happy to present our opening track in a new collaborative concept album in progress, "Altitude". Patrice5 composed, mixed and recorded his part on 22 September 2025 in MAGIX, and I composed, mixed and recorded my part, improvising on Akai MPK mini keyboard connected to Logic Pro, in the evening of 29 September 2025. That same late evening, I also combined our two parts, arranged, mixed and recorded this collaborative track, and we release it today here on SoundCloud, in the late morning (in Europe) of 30 September 2025.

We invite you to join us in flying at high musical altitude, in this opening composition as well as in the whole album (to follow appearing here in the next days and weeks). Our  guiding, spontaneous and shared, inspiration has been a modern update of classical music reinterpreted by various synthesisers mostly but with rich arrangement with other virtual instruments, rhythms and sounds, in effect blending electronic and ambient dominant chord progressions and melodies with contemporary elements and arrangements along the style of symphonic space music, progressive house, melodic techno, soundscape, chillout, dance floor, and sometimes even jazz fusion. We hope you'll enjoy this kind of genre specific to us both in our mutually exalting collaborations.

The artwork cover for our album "Altitude" (2025) and all tracks in it uses a photo shot by Alex M on 26 September 2025 cropped and annotated by Alex M in Mac OS Preview on 29 September 2025 - in coordination and agreement with Patrice5.
