In this week's mid-week guest on MMD, I have invited the queen of Techno in South Africa, Senjo!

Senjo is a self-taught DJ and master of the art of Techno. Having played at almost all of the most prestigious festivals and venues in South Africa, always sharing high energy with every set she plays. She is a proud label DJ of esteemed Teknotribe records and loves anything to do with underground music.

BIO:

Senjo is the Techno act of Natalia Roux, from Johannesburg, South Africa.

With an ever-growing love and appreciation for underground electronic music as well as the movement, Natalia yearned to share this passion with others. She became an autodidactic DJ and began performing professionally in 2011 bringing Jozi crowds a differentiating, energetic yet industrial sound with her Techno sets.  She was soon signed to Teknotribe Records and has been a proud member of the family since early 2012.

She has been invited to play at some of South Africa's most renowned festivals including Twilight, Earthdance, , Revolution NYE, Moksha, Fenomena Phestival, Tswaing Crater Gathering, ONE, T.H.O, MCQP, Fu-Cha Gatherings as well as the world renowned international music festival, Mozamboogy.  Senjo was also recently booked to perform for the 2020 Earthdance Global online streaming event which was broadcast from California. 

For Senjo the essence of being is captured in those moments of sharing her love for music with a crowd that responds with the same passion.  She also appreciates that she is merely a vessel for the incredible producers who create the beautiful music she plays. 

Senjo is proud and humbled to have opened and shared the stage for top-class acts including Victor Ruiz, Gaga, Julian Jeweil, Cosmic Boys, Joseph Capriati, D-Nox, Perfect Stranger, Luigi Madonna, Kalil, Nick Grater, Lewis and many more incredible international and local artists.
