I'm a hard dance & dubstep producer from this weird island-type thing sticking out in the middle of lake ontario on the Canadian side between toronto and kingston. democratic socialist done af with what's happening to the south of me and what's happening here at home too. hardcore stoner who regularly smokes delta-9 distillate and owns a volcano. who i am and am not aligned with is on substack to pretty decent extent at this point. it's like that though. there are people i am and am not down with in this thing and i also don't think much of my regional industry's current incarnation (as in... eastern canada dubstep/dnb promoters) in a lot of areas. Primarily FL Studio based but also have varying degrees of experience with ableton, bitwig, pro tools, maschine, cubase, logic, studio one, audition, etc. Own 9 hardware synths but that's more for the next album. Bought cytomic the glue to get the ableton sidechain in fl but probably moving toward waves c6 and pro mb long-term. upcoming genres to be attempted include jump up, hard techno, more dubstep, bass house, and more hardstyle fusion stuff. next album somewhere between 2028 & 2032. 2-Part EP from new project in april and september 2026.

Sonowolf is the DJ project of Alex, a lycanthrope with a peculiar taste for deep groovy, psychedelic techno and progressive sounds. Born in Canada but raised mostly in northern Portugal and Galicia, Spain, Alex was introduced to the techno and psytrance scene as a teenager. He fell in love with electronic music and has never let go. His travels have highly influenced his musical tastes, which he describes as "spiced" with influences from around the world, bringing a fresh twist to the genres he plays.
Sonowolf plays chunky, grooving beats with an eclectic vibe. He's an old dog with unexpected tricks.
