On the dense and eerie side of the dreamscape, there is a dark and twisted entity ready and waiting to take hold of the un-savvy wanderer. Gut clenched, jaw locked, dilated eyes perplexed, as the once steady reality; mischievously slips away through the fingers. Panic bubbles to the already discombobulated senses. . . The steady spill in to the purge begins. And all hope of going back is finally diminished. . . 

Although Emetic hasn't the most appealing of definitions. To vomit, excrete and thrust out the badness can also represent the positive endeavour of purification. The abstract inspirations drawn from Emetic and it's meaning, defines the stomach churning bass tones and neuro kinetic sound design that this release encompasses. . . 

These psychedelic yet dark, and minimal drum 'n' bass productions, reminded me of just how satisfying a bit of grime can be amidst the fluffiness. And that with every euphoric occurrence, filled to the brim with immeasurable delight. There is a flip side. . . The snarling, all consuming grunt of our rhythmic endurance. And Emetic, is extracting his own personal 'Abstraction' of this.

Born into a deeply musical family—his father a music academy director and his mother a piano teacher—MASOI grew up surrounded by instruments, harmony, and classical discipline. Early training in piano and violin shaped his sensitivity for melody and emotional dynamics, which now form the backbone of his distinctive sound on the dancefloor.
His journey into electronic music began after discovering the strange and happy world of Psytrance culture. Captivated by its freedom and intensity, he launched his DJ career in November 2020. MASOI favors energetic, dance-friendly, and positive grooves, while placing strong importance on communication with the audience. For him, every set is a dialogue—an attempt to exceed the expectations of the moment and deliver something unexpected yet deeply connecting.
In December 2020, he co-founded the secret rave Magic hour, marking the start of his career as an organizer. Traveling to countless raves across Japan, he continued shaping his style with constant inspiration from the underground scene.
In January 2022, he joined the Australian label Another Psyde Records.
 In April 2023, he released Active Magic, Japan’s first-ever Dark Progressive compilation.
 In February 2024, he signed with the South African label Our Minds Music, followed by the release of his second compilation Breezy Boogies in March 2024.
 His third compilation, Black Prog, is scheduled for release in 2026.
In 2023, he launched his own imprint, Magichour Recordings, alongside his crew, expanding his work beyond performance into curation and cultural creation.
In August 2025, MASOI will perform at the world-renowned MoDem Festival, marking a significant milestone in his rapidly growing international career.
 With a unique blend of musical upbringing, progressive sensibilities, and emotional depth, MASOI continues to carve out his own story within the global psychedelic and progressive underground.

 父は音楽教室の学園長、母はピアノ講師という音楽一家に生まれ、幼少期からピアノやヴァイオリンなど多彩な音楽教育を受けて育つ。
 そのバックグラウンドは彼のサウンドに深い感性と旋律的な美しさをもたらし、フロアでのダンサブルなグルーヴと独特の表現力へと昇華されている。
踊りやすくポジティブなエネルギーを放つ楽曲を好み、常にオーディエンスとの対話を重視。
 その場に求められる“期待”を超えていくことをテーマに、瞬間ごとに最適な音楽を探求し続けている。
2020年12月には仲間とともにシークレットパーティ「Magic hour」を立ち上げ、オーガナイザーとしての活動も開始。
 以降、全国各地のレイヴに足を運びながら独自のスタイルを磨き続ける。
2022年1月、オーストラリアのレーベル Another Psyde Records に加入。
 2023年4月には、日本初となるDark Progressiveコンピレーション『Active Magic』をリリースし、その名をシーンへ刻む。
 2024年2月には南アフリカのレーベル Our Minds Music へ加入し、同年3月には2枚目のコンピレーション『Breezy Boogies』を発表。
 2026年には3作目となるコンピレーション『Black Prog』をリリース予定。
また2023年、仲間とともに自身のレーベル Magichour Recordings を設立し、アーティストとしてだけでなくレーベルオーナーとしても活動の幅を広げる。
 そして2025年8月、世界最高峰のフェスティバルのひとつ MoDem Festival への出演が決定。
 その音楽性と存在感は、いまや国内外のプログレッシブ・サイケデリックシーンで確かな存在感を放っている。

Triple Drop Productions began when three young producers from Wales (UK) first started tinkering about with various pieces of music software. The trio shared enthusiasm for the intricate structures of dub, dubstep, techno, drum and bass, breaks, psytrance and the many other genres which they had the privilege to explore on dance floors across the country. Over time, they self taught themselves the ins and outs of creative music production. Their musical tastes evolved and their ears began manoeuvring through the various areas of style and genre as they experimented. Saxon Higgs, the founder of the label began his project, Brujo's Bowl. His experience in building this project, along with working for many record labels and events in some of the biggest international underground music scenes inspired him to start Triple Drop Productions. Although the first few releases have been released solely to please the ears of the psychedelic music scene world wide; TDP no longer sets boundaries to any particular style or genre. Whilst keeping this ideal flowing, and not to stagger too much on a random stream of unpredictable foot holes. The focus tends to drift comfortably through the deepest locations of the mind, body and soul. Minimal intelligent bass music and downtempo with a psychedelic, quirky edge; as eclectic and intuitive as can be made possible with the production knowledge of the artists. The label sets out to move, relax, inspire and set the anticipation receptors blinking along this intriguing direction in to the sonic spectrum.
