I started working on this one at the very beginning of 2021 & It's the first song I made after nearly a year of being too emotionally and spiritually distraught from social isolation to create anything. I felt so sad, confused, and frustrated during the early stages of the pandemic that I couldn't even listen to music let alone create any. This song was the one that helped get me out of that hole and reignited my passion for creation. Perhaps while you listen you can contemplate things that you've started but gave up on, or things you used to love but have grown distant from. 

No matter how long it has been since you picked up your instrument or your paint brush, let this beat or this message fill you with the motivation you need to revisit that younger version of yourself who still sees the value in creating simply for the joy of creation and as you dip your toes back in, tell yourself: This Time It's Real 💕😇

Clockwork is the first single from Tom Baker’s debut album “Ruled By The Machines”.

Ruled By The Machines explores the sounds of a turbulent dystopian future. Drawing influences from his favourite cult-classic movies, Tom endeavoured to depict the concept of a power struggle between human civilisation and the uncontrollable advancement in the technology it created.

Indulging his imagination, Tom has placed himself deep in the elaborate scenes circling his mind. The music would often be written solely based on a character or scene that Tom had envisioned, whilst he basked in the challenge of bringing typically cinematic themes to dance music.
