"Arya is the last one of the White Elves specie, born in Rivari, the Frozen Forest. The White Elves were known for their particular rituals: through the use of emotions, extracted with a single touch from the body, they were able to free people and animals from the corruption that was taking away their life. After the apocalypse, she is the only one left with the possibility of giving life to those races that are disappearing by the hands of what they call The Elder. 
Without a home, she decides to leave and travel the world in order to help the living beings and save them from their end, trying to discover more about what caused the apocalypse. "

~ Chapter II ~
"After realising what happened to Rivari, the Frozen Forest, Arya started wandering to find some clues about The Elder. The only thing she knew, was that she had to leave her home, her forest. But, leaving Rivari without someone to take care of it, was not what she desired. 
The cold, howling wind was now unbearable: she had to do something.

The memories brought her a possible solution: one of the ancient tales told by Arya's mother, explained the legend of the Winter Souls tribe, created after the fall of the White Elves ancient guardians. This tribe was something different, made up of pure souls instead of living beings: through a ritual, the elves could turn the guardians' spirits into wolves in order to keep Rivari safe from any danger.

Deep in her heart, Arya knew legends are not always just fancy stories.

After reaching the Altar, that now was almost completely destroyed, the howling wind started to take the shape of one,two..three giant wolves.
Arya felt the desperation from within the wolves' glacial eyes. They missed their fellow comrades, the souls of the fallen guardians. Even so, the magical event brought a hint of fear that made Arya run away.. 
It was the first time she saw a real spirit, but she also knew the forest was safe now.

COSMAKS - FIRST BREATH EP [PHW271]

It’s about time for another release through our PHW imprint, and we are excited to see the return of an artist that glanced on the scene during the past year. Being a stellar figure on our label lately with a couple of productions hitting the stores through us, we welcome back a brand new EP created by the French producer, Cosmaks. This time, his shining with 3 fresh cuts, all in a different mood and texture. 

The title track, “First Breath” is a wonderful ride from start to finish, packed with emotional melodic arrangements, fresh vocal additions and an overall smooth and dreamy texture. He proves every time what he is capable of, and this is another fresh winner from the French producer. 

Second to that, as we browse through the new EP, we land at the next track, named as “When It All Began”. This is a truly different story, where you are to hear and witness another side of his musical productions. With a dreamy and melodic touch, perfectly created to start of a journey of creativity. Fresh drums, lovely synth riffs and everything in between is taking you places, that we assure you about. 

The third and final production on this EP, baptized as “Perspective” is taking you back to his roots, melody driven progressive house that is speaking our language. If melodies and chord progressions is your thing, then he definitely has nailed it for you, to have a lovely sun-drenched production to play around with this summer. Enjoy the breakdown, enough said!

"Arya used to dream about escaping the forest and going beyond it. She had no idea what lied outside of Rivari. Once out of the woods, she could feel the difference that surrounded her. A sense of freedom, curiosity, and the greatness of this new world excited her. Even just the warm air that welled in her lungs made her feel more alive than ever. 

The day was coming to an end when she finally reached the Crimson Peak, a place where anything above the clouds could be seen. 

As she stepped forward, something suddenly caught her eye. A gleam of white light slowly emerged from behind the towering clouds. She couldn't make out the shape of it but eventually realized it was one of the great watch towers once occupied by the elven sentinels: the Lumen Tower. All the tales she was told by her tribe as a child were becoming real now, right in front of her eyes! 

The tower's brilliant light could not be covered or shrouded by anything, not even by the highest clouds or the darkest night. Considering the tower a safe place, Arya had no choice but to move forward and stop there for the night.."

EDX - Give It Up For Love (Mysto & Pizzi Remix) Out now!

Back in April, EXIT festival announced that it would be giving on lucky aspiring DJ the chance to play at this year’s festival which runs from 12th - 15th July.

In partnership with DJ Mag and Beatport, the festival has launched a mix competition, gave emerging DJs the opportunity to win a slot at the massive festival taking place at the Petrovaradin Fortress in Novi Sad, Serbia.

Entries were listened to carefully by judges from the EXIT Festival team, DJ Mag, Beatport and special guest judge Boris Brejcha, who will also be playing at the festival. After much deliberation it was decided that Kaptaine d’s half hour of raw power techno was the winner! 

Kaptain d describes himself as a “contemporary artist, focusing on the connection between technology and arts through sound. Drawing ideas from interactive installations and sound formats”.

He will share a bill with some of the biggest names in global techno and house on the festival’s Dance Arena stage. Also set to play that stage are names such as Nina Kraviz, Solomun, Maceo Plex, Tale of Us, Carl Craig and Rødhåd. More names on the bill include Richie Hawtin, Ben Klock, Amelie Lens and Adam Beyer B2B Ida Engberg.
