A long-awaited return for Tripswitch sees a 4-track EP of mid-tempo club tracks drawn from his recent live sets at festivals worldwide. From the epic 11 minutes of the title track 'Propulsion', through the melodic techno of 'Ad Infinitum' and the rocking prog of 'Wasted' and ending in the sublimely deep but epic 'Box Fresh', this EP reflects Nick's uncanny ability to create exciting and energised performances that bridge the chillout and the main floor.

Aliji is a prime example of the archetypal dj – a musical chameleon, he cannot be pinned down to the restrictive framework of a single genre, but morphs endlessly as the situation requires. Nonetheless, there is a vein that runs through his work: quality. Wherever Aliji is on the decks, you can be assured that the music will capture your heart. Whether ripping up the dancefloor, or soothing the soul through a blissful sunrise, you can depend on Ali to deliver the goods, in a gift-wrapped, psychedelic package. Be certain there will not be a dull moment! A set from this DJ is always an exploration of the healing properties of music and an exercise in meaningful composition. A Liquid-Records DJ and resident of Inspiral, Ali has become a regular on both the national and international festival circuits, playing numerous prestigous events such as The Glade and Glastonbury in the UK, Boom, Sonica and Electric Picnic (Ireland) in Europe, and the legendary Universo Paralello in Brazil, to name but a few. If you have caught him, you may well have heard infectious beats ranging through minimal / techno / tech house or you may have been treated to a platter of sumptuous electronica of the most eclectic variety, as the occasion required. You will almost certainly have seen him sharing the stage with such artists as Gaudi, Eat Static, Mirror System, Ott, Pathaan and Naked Nick. Also, if you have spent any time in Camden in the last 2 years or so, you may well have experienced the fruits of Ali's labours at the inSpiral Lounge, on Camden Lock, where he is organising the majority of the events, as well as getting on the decks himself from time to time.

This is the last of my "best-of digital" series - moving forward I will start buying music again this week and continue to integrate it with the best of what I have collected before.

For a veteran chillout producer to successfully navigate the transition to sought-after producer / remixer and DJ within the Progressive House scene, is not an easy ask. But Nick Brennan a.k.a. Tripswitch has done just that – and with distinction. It was his Tripswitch ‘Vagabond’ album (Iboga Records, 2016) that cemented his highly rated status as a key dance producer beyond doubt. The album rose to the top of the Beatport charts, hitting #1 in Electronica and holding at #2 in Progressive House for 3 months.

Since then, a flawless resumé of releases on Bedrock, Sudbeat, The Soundgarden, Movement, Balkan Connection, Flow Vinyl, Pure Progressive and many more creatively exciting labels, has seen Tripswitch’s progressive stock grow exponentially. Chart-topping collaborative studio projects with Nick Warren and Hernán Cattaneo, along with a huge bootleg remix of London Grammar’s ‘Rooting For You’, helped to propel him to the upper reaches of the production cosmos.

Tripswitch’s melodic, emotionally charged, proper progressive DJ sets at amazing events around the world have resulted him gaining a loyal and ever-growing global audience.
