Albert Azar is a Beirut-based electronic music producer with a rich musical background. Beginning his journey at 14 as a bass player, Azar's exposure to a diverse range of genres has shaped his versatile sound. Drawing inspiration from legendary rock bands of the 60s and 70s, including Pink Floyd, Azar has been honing his craft since the age of 16. His music aims to evoke deep emotions and create vivid imagery, reflecting his dedication to sharing his unique sound with the world.

Metronome Records opens a new chapter with its first solo release: “Vortex EP” by Gudj. The EP features two original tracks and remixes by Masupilami and Cirkel Square. “Vortex” establishes a hypnotic tone with tight percussion and a deep, rolling energy, while “Unnamed” presents a brighter, more open groove with crisp rhythms and fluid movement. Masupilami delivers a bold rework of “Vortex,” reshaping it into a deeper, dynamic club weapon with his signature touch. Cirkel Square transforms “Unnamed” into a cinematic journey with broken grooves and spatial textures. “Vortex EP” blends functionality and character – a strong statement for both the dancefloor and deeper listening moments.
