To most, the three Romanian artists that make up the live performance group Amorf need little introduction. Especially not in these pages. However, Vlad Caia, Cristi Cons and Mischa Blanos will always be a new and exciting discovery to somebody. The musical output from Amorf has almost come almost exclusively via Cristi and Vlad’s Amphia imprint but has also seen widescreen outings on Sushitech and Understand.

As impressive as the musical output from the Amphia trio is, a recorded live set is always best enjoyed in person. For most the option to jump in a taxi and head along to the club or festival that they might be headlining just isn’t even remotely an option. Kamara & Microvibez are welcomed to the ever expanding Sudbeat family. 

Kamara is a Dutch Techno and TechHouse live-act who have set the goal to make audiences go crazy every time they play, while Microvibez is a fellow Dutch Techno producer & Liveact . His Techno releases can be classified as small pieces of electronic fractals which are coming together as a hugh big room sound. 
Here we find ‘Arina', a skippy grooved techno gem, with its shoulder swaying groove meeting the melodic, yet melancholic soundscape. Its layered pads combining to create a joyful reward of enchanted smile inducing goodness, with its simplicity being the key here. On remix duties its the German techno master Oliver Lieb, who toughens up the beats and adds a moodier vibe, locking you in to its hypnotic wonder. This is a bit of a solid club destroyer, especially when the hook form the original lands, it takes this up yet another notch! 
And to close off the EP, Microvibez supply their own interpretation, creating another layer of percussion and utilising the synth riff, while dropping a tinkling melody that brightens and lightens the mood.

"sorin george rastoaca, aka vid, has been involved with music for quite a while now… some of his earliest releases under a different alias harken back to 2010. in 2012, the launch of his own label, aptly named andromeda, cemented the foundation of a project dedicated to sharing the ornate sounds stemming from the world that vid walks within.

as a producer, vid heavily draws inspiration from nature. the world around him projects an abundance of sound… from the melodic chirping of birds to the effervescent bubbling of rivers, or, the gentle rustling of the wind as it passes through the nearby woods. in these delicate moments, vid finds the right ingredients to coalesce resulting in otherworldly grooves and soundscapes that transport the mind. genre is of no consequence as these pieces of music blur and blend between the minimalistic shades of house and techno (and all things in between). this is music that speaks from the heart as much as it soothes the mind.

as a dj, that same production imaginativeness manifests in the style of sets vid enjoys bringing about. his ear has a penchant for finding the records that have unique off-kilter sounds that easily find a home within his sonic nature walk. the end result? a curated journey that’s meant to challenge expectations, elicit surprise and above all else… spark joy.

A central figure in the Chilean scene, he has established his unique style: a subtle combination of stripped-back grooves, hypnotic textures, and a dub-techno approach that has distinguished him for nearly three decades. It is therefore only natural that JIMI today joins the Fantastic Friends family with his new project: Pretty Things EP. This EP presents itself as a sound exploration between minimal sophistication and organic energy.
