Great Fire Of Meireki

Psychedelic and bass chillout cooperation set with Maara Víc, which is an extract from a set we prepared for contact improvisation dancing workshop in april (codenamed psydance).

We started to do some mixing together, because we have quite similar passion for music, so we took my psychill mixing experience and combined it with Maara's musical exploration and the result so far is atmospheric journey through both chilled and wilder, slower and faster, psychedelic and lounge downtempo music, pumping at 80–120BPM

The beginning is B2B, I mixed the chillgressive passage, Maara took care of the psydub passage and final tracks are again B2B.

Also we had 2 blackouts, corrupting recorded files, but luckily VLC media player was able to read and reencode them. So I glued them together.

For me it was very joyful mixing and night, big thanks to everyone involved.

The guests of our Friday afternoon Before Party session are ØKAPI (Illegal Art) and KAPITANO, joining us before heading off to the VisionaryMind Lab party. Our radiOzora resident Bodoo (The Observation Radio Show / Tilos) will be talking with Okapi before his mini live set, followed by some mood-makers from Kapitano (VMLAB) as well, live from the studio.

Økapi is Filippo Paolini, an Italian turntablist and sample cutup artist. Filippo has recorded several solo albums, as well as recording in the duo Metaxu and with the trio Dogon. He has performed live for national Italian State radio broadcasts (RAI) with renowned avant-turntablist, Christian Marclay and collaborates with numerous international artists such as Mike Cooper, Peter Brotzmann, Mike Patton, Matt Gustafson, Zu, Damo Suzuki, Andy EX, Kawabata Makoto, Metamkine…
ØKapi's album releases illustrate his unique and edgy use of turntables and computer beyond the hip-hop school of chopped up music, creating music that veers from orchestral to lounge with quirky experimental electronics that maintain a delicate and spacious sound throughout.

His amazing skills at sample mixing are simply outstanding and during Okapi live sets he mixes: techno/broken beat/electro-/8-bit with melodies from Klezmer, polka, children's music, idiot pop and hawaiian classics to name but a few…

This is one of my sets played at Phoenix Fire Convention 2017, an amazing fire/ flow arts festival in Germany. 
Selection of downtempo tracks- it's a trip-hop/ hip-hop/ bass/ garage/ jazz/ glitch kind of thing. 
And it's also a memory of amazing colorful summer, full of sounds, patterns, love, warm nights...
This is recorded just on laptop in a coffee shop, without any mix or equipment, straight after coming back to London back to the work - no special mixes or transitions this time :-)

My set from another edition of Dark Comics - event series I am organizing in Czech, which is focused on deep/ dark/ psychedelic music, this time with a special guest - Hefty (UK).
It is a dark techno how I like it, evolving from deep hypnotic atmosphere into pumping energetic harder stuff. 
The collective consciousness was floating in the sound, surrounded by aesthetic psychedelic decorations, everybody drinking Kratom tea on the ethnobotanical bar and having a good time :-)

At the age of 14 the Doubljuh started to experiment with his first DJ setup until mixing music with vinyl became his second nature. His first attempts were characterized by Chicago House (Bad Boy Bill, Richard Humpty vission), Ghetto House/Booty House (Dj Funk, Dj Deeon) and especially Funky Disco House (Boogie Pimps, Armand van Helden, Bob Sinclar, Olav Basoski). Early on a varied House style with groovy melodies and catchy vocals arose. He impressed his audience first as a newcomer of the Tectrex Crew and performed as Resident DJ in the show „Rookie Freaks“ via the Tectrex Webstream. His opinion about electronic music fundamentally changed in summer 2013 after his visits to legendary festivals such as Fusion and Kazantip, which included a short performance. He got to know and love melodic Deep House, which strongly shaped his music style since that time. Now the familiar groovy House beats take turns with soft parts and enchant the audience with frisky melodies of the violin and the piano. This results in fresh sounds, which are still highly characterized by catchy vocals.

The East Berlin native San Miguel started his electronic music career in early ages. Infected by the underground sounds of that legendary era, the young and enthusiastic dj and producer quickly developed his skills to a professional level and established his first successful vinyl record label a few years later. As a pronounced philanthropist and nature lover he wanted to find a way to share his passions in a more organic atmosphere and founded „Einfach Liebe“ as a community of different artists and a pool for a variety of events such as Open Airs, Workshops and healing arts.

San Miguel’s musical signature is defined by his various interests and influences of his travels through time and space which manifests itself into a soundscape of hypnotic spheres and deep driven basses. Often combined with folkloric elements and a range of organic instruments, his sound weaves unique tales that carries the audience gently and straight into an ecstatic dance experience. He is a master for clashing the styles and shows a deep instinct for timing and suspense as he draws a bow throughout his mixes that will move any dance-floor that thrives on powerful global beats and psychedelic rhythms. That special composition led him release his own productions on labels such as Lump Records, Underyourskin Records, Pipe & Pochet, LNDKHN, Cosmic Awakenings, Serafin Audio Imprint and Souq Records.

Together with LaniRose, he launched in 2018 his second electronic music label „MŎNɅDɅ“ based by the philosophical monad as expression of the pure eternal essence which exists in every living being. The label represents a playground for handpicked and visionary electronic sounds that are offering vibrational healing through love and passion. As „Mônada Project“ the two free spirits San Miguel & LaniRose are leading a PA- rental, hosting sound- healing journeys, gatherings, festivals and co-create together with the global tribe. All in the mission of LOVE. ♥

Triptofun was drawn into the world of electronic music in 2004 by listening to a DnB/jungle CD of one czech soundsystem and by his first freetekno party in 2005. Soon he discovered psytrance and since then he has been involved in both techno and psytrance subcultures. The fascination and inspiration of altered states of consciousness, music and dance continues to this day in both his musical and professional life.
He moved from making hardware freetekno to DJing and in 2011 joined the south bohemian psytrance group Kamasutra. His night sets on the mainfloor are mostly techno/ darkprog/ dark psytrance. However, as a multi-genre DJ, he obsessively selects tracks for his sets on a daily basis in genres such as deep dubstep/ bass, deep house, DnB, hip-hop/ trip-hop, garage, wave, ambient, etc., so that he can play at any time of the day according to the concept of the event. 
He has played in NZ, Australia, Latin America, England and several countries in Europe.
He has organized countless musical events both with Kamasutra and solo (Sohma records) or with other groups.
