09 On a Day Like Today

I wrote and recorded this Christmas song perhaps 10 years ago or so.  It's a peaceful song about preparing for Christmas and the Holidays.  I LOVE CHRISTMAS!  I believe in Jesus Christ and I believe that he is the Savior of Mankind.  So naturally, I love the months heading up to Christmas day and New Year's Day.  I pray for the peace of mankind every holiday season, but sadly we just always seem to have evil leaders doing evil things, and war every year.  Why can't we all be kind and live in peace?  I wish I knew.

It's Time For Christmas!

This song tells the story of my Uncle John York trying to win back my aunt Jenny's heart after cheating on her. They were married.  He wrote the words came to my mom and aunts band practice one night and asked to sing his words.  My mom and Aunts band was called "The Fedorow Sisters" they are originally from Humbult Park Chicago, their parents Peter and Mary Fedorow were Ukrainian immigrants. I found the song on a old album they recorded in or around about 1952 and have been singing it since.  The original has my uncle singing and the girls backing him up. I have had it published but the credit goes to my family before my time.  Its a beautiful song.
