Short documentary piece made by Dave Blackwell about the Celebration of Traveller Music gigs organised by Poster Fish Promotions and Blanchardstown Traveller Development Group. The piece was recorded at the 4th such gig in the Cobblestone pub in Dublin on 10 Dec 2015 which was a fundraiser for the families affected by the tragic halting site fire in Carrickmines. Dave speaks to Freda Hughes, Jack Delaney, John Connors, Bernie McDonagh and Thomas McCarthy about what the gigs mean to the community and the importance of celebrating Traveller music. The next gig is in Tankers Bar, Listowel, Co. Kerry on 29 Dec 2015. We're taking the show on the road!

John Connors, one of the collectors taking part in The Traveller History Project, talks to Anton Savage on Today FM about the stories he's uncovered. 

The Traveller History Project aims to record and archive Traveller folklore and history for the National Folklore Collection in UCD, Dublin. The Collectors have travelled all over Ireland recording interviews that will be placed into the National archive for future generations to learn from. 

The first episode of the TV documentary about the project, made by Scratch Films, will be shown tonight (Wednesday 28th Sep.) on RTÉ One, 9.35PM, then on 5th & 12th September.
