It’s been a little while since we’ve had a Total Science release on CIA but the good news is that they’ve got two new cuts to unleash on your unsuspecting ears, and they’re packing that usual big bad quality punch from these two stalwarts, legends, pillars, that you’d of course expect. 

Channeling a little bit of every period of Total Science history into ‘Road Runner’, what comes out is something almost completely new, a special piece of music. It’s got a fresh feel to it, there isn’t anyone else making tunes that sound like this now, or before. And while ‘Fxk That’ comes out a bit more direct and to the point, it’s got that certain flare to it. And it’s got that oof. You need the oof. Or you’re the one missing the point, ya know. Section x Surface - Derelict

For the next instalment of the Dispatch Limited series Kumarachi presents an EP written over several years, featuring his killer solo productions alongside collaborations with Ant TC1, NC-17, RMS, and Madrush MC.

 

The “Seek Emotion EP” forms the first release on Dispatch with Kumarachi as the lead artist, fans of the label will be familiar with his previous work with NC-17 from the “Most Violent Year” LP series and their Dispatch Blueprints release. Kumarachi has been making waves for many years with solo releases on labels like Critical, Deep In The Jungle, Nuusic, Audio Addict, Delta9, Skankandbass and Drum & Bass Arena.

 

Using a combination of software and analogue equipment to give his music that human touch, Kumarachi makes great use of external FX units and his analogue desk to add the warmth that runs throughout each of his productions. This varied EP delivers punchy drums and unavoidable funk throughout, giving each track that progressive depth and textured, rolling energy that encapsulates the Dispatch Limited sound.

It´s been a long time in the making, but we shortened your wait with Aurora/ New Moon on PARADUBS002 which came from the same set of tracks. So, here you have it: 4 more absolutely timeless tunes by the gifted man like Dean! 

'Phantasm' kick things off: It´s nighttime and the rain falls, you can´t escape the bittersweet atmosphere. The signature cinematic Solaris vibes grab you and set the tone for what´s coming: Driving beats skip along while the thumping sub bass switches halfway through the tune into a more stepping affair. Beautiful pads lead into the second break full of strings, etheral pads, shivering vocals and lush pianos before the thumping bass returns once more and sways you off into the morning hours.

The track samples have been gently edited to show all important parts of the tunes.
