It was fun doing a cover of a song I vividly remember hearing as a kindergartner at the exciting beginning of MTV and all it's 80's glory.  With this song and the other 80's covers I have done recently, I intentionally didn't listen to the original but maybe once (if at all) so that the end result was more of a dramatic, slowed echo of my memory of the song.  Jill Andrews is one of the greatest living singer-songwriters, so it's always an honor to work with her and I hope you like hearing our voices together.  This song gives me chills when I hear it, so I'm also hoping it makes you feel something too.

Waves is the most recent song of all. And definitely a departure from where I usually go musically. This one is super fun to play on the guitar, reminds me of my early days. My husband loves this one, mostly because of the first couple lines...When he first heard it he was like, "Oh yep, I can relate to this!" Ha. I wanted to do something with a beat, and also some electric guitar. I'd say this is just the tip of the iceberg, being on a record label so long, I'm conditioned to do things a certain way. I am really looking forward to exploring more with this vibe in the future. Im really just excited to explore music back like I did when I first started. No expectations, no sales charts, just good vibes, late nights, with me and my guitar.
