Thick droplets of water hit the basin with a loud thud, like a ticking clock counting down to an unknown event. The room was cold and damp, the wall paper had begun peeling all over and thick layers of dust had settled on every surface; it was no place for a person to inhabit, at least not any more. Once upon a time this room and the home it was in had been a sanctuary to many; a place that brought comfort and happiness; a place that was loved and looked after - now it lay dormant, a relic of the past forgotten with time.

Doline's new release marks two big milestones for the artist and its home Grid Records; a debut album and the first long player on the label. The French artist and Sound Pelligrino affiliate has already released on the imprint back in 2021 and this follow up, Dompte-regard, is another showcase of his deftness at sound design and playing with mood and tempo. It's refined as ever, pairing melodic touches and glistening synth lines, which have it sitting somewhere between the club and home listening.

PREMIERE: Doline - Mill The Pink Link [Grid Records]

The night was young but it already seemed ever so frantic and free in the club. It was as if they had already been there for hours as they danced and moved between the flickering lights as smoke began to fill the air. From the corner of his eye he watched as fellow dancers and revellers continued to file down the stairs and into the murky abyss below.

Perhaps this was his favourite time of the night? The quiet calm before the storm – the music loud but not yet punishing, the pace moody and slow in time with his swaying hips.

He watched as the world beneath became busier and one by one the people came and went. This was a special place, that much was true. Perhaps 10-11 was the best time of all?

Redstone Press continue in the pursuit of leftfield Bass music and harder sounds – the next EP on the label coming from Tano and featuring remixes by the likes of Toumba and Delay Grounds. This one features off piste rhythms and percussion – keeping the energy flowing in the best and weirdest of ways.

'Just Like Home' marks Benbo (@let001) and @ovidmusic’s first collaborative effort for @looseemusic, trading off swinging percussion for unrestrained drum work throughout. The project represents over a decade of friendship and informal collaboration between the pair and culminates in a five-track EP that makes you feel like you can catch a bullet with your bare hands.

@objectblue turns '$500 Chips' inside out, providing a menacing, chuggy alternative while maintaining the track’s potency to serve as a perfect addition to the collection while 'No Sir' adds more bounce and variety to 'Square Marden' by stripping it down to its focal elements and adding their signature melodic flourishes to create a multi-dimensional hybrid of rhythm and lyricism.

After debuting on 3024 in July 2021 with "I See Faces in the Trees" on the label's first Artist Mentorship Compilation, we are very proud to present Talik's Firefly EP.

On this record, the London-based producer explores and experiments with the twitchy, flickering movements of animals of the night, their behaviors perhaps analogous to our own in dark and loud rooms surrounded by strangers- alone but together. Through four beautiful tracks we are shown a more energetic side of Talik's music, layered with the moods of her earlier work for Intercept, Pressure Dome and Control Freak.
