Palma Dulce is a project by Clayton Borges, a 24-year-old music producer, born in the Cerrado, in the heart of Brazil.
The passion for the idea of synthesizing sounds came at a very young age, fiddling with guitar pedals and building noise boxes, always flirting a lot with the domination of sound technologies. Doing live acts or DJing, he always carries synthetic timbres, ethereal textures and emotionally sculpted chords.

Sintoma (Symptom in portuguese) is a collection of downtempo/slow-house tracks that were made at different times during the pandemic.
All of them are about particular experiences of affection and mental health, that intersects with the lives of many at that moment. In this completely liquid and diffused period, Palma Dulce broke a 4-year addiction to pharmaceutical amphetamines. Since then, the mind remains volatile at all times. 
"The transformations are so fast I can't keep up. Is my suffering a virtue, or a symptom of my relationship with the world?"

Palma Dulce é um projeto de Clayton Borges, produtor musical de 24 anos, nascido no Cerrado, no coração do Brasil.
A paixão pela ideia de sintetizar sons veio muito cedo, brincando com pedais de guitarra e construindo Noise Boxes, sempre flertando muito com a dominância da tecnologia sonora. Fazendo live acts or discotecando, ele sempre carrega timbres sintéticos, texturas etéreas e acordes esculpidos por emoções.

Sintoma é uma coleção de músicas downtempo/slow-house que foram feitas em momentos diferentes durante a pandemia.
Todas são sobre experiências particulares com condições e saude mental, que interagem com a vida de muitos naquele momento. Nesse período completamente líquido e difuso, Palma Dulce venceu um vício de 4 anos em anfetaminas. Desde então, a mente permanece volátil a todo momento.

It's Good To Be A Tree is a deep and atmospheric record label run by Sergey Pushkin, which focuses on downtempo/organic house with indigenous sounds, flowing percussion and heart-warming melodies.

The label's focus is to create a collaborative environment where artists from different genres can come together on one platform and this latest release is an eight-track compilation featuring solo music by Daniel Hokum, Kuumba, Last Gentleman On Playa, Valique, Yassen, Zoe Reijue and Sergey Pushkin. There is also a three-way collaboration between Betelgeize, Beznosuk and Valique.

Daniel Hokum is the only artist on the release who hasn’t previously featured on It's Good To Be A Tree and collectively the artists have individually featured on other influential record labels including the likes of Kosa, Underyourskin, down., LNDKHN, Leveldva, Compost, Serafin Audio Imprint and Heimlich Musik.

Yassen’s “Moon Camp” has bleeping synth melodies and swelling pads layered with a deep bassline and shaking percussion that forms the foundation for a hallucinatory vocal sample.

Zoe Reijue’s “Slow Me Down” has poignant piano chords and digitised vocals layered with a juddering bassline and stripped back percussion.

Daniel Hokum's “Equilibrium” is an electro-tinged downtempo track with bursts of white noise and eerie synths layered over breakbeat percussion and a lurching bassline.

Last Gentleman On Playa’s “Horny Elephants” fuses dramatic percussion with deep breathing and elephant samples that intertwine with dubby guitar chords washed in delay.

The collaborative track by Betelgeize, Beznosuk and Valique titled “La Tribu Triangular” orientates around earth congas and an assortment of sounds ranging from psychedelic guitar licks to marimba style melodies.

Kuumba’s “Homecomforts” focuses on trippy synths that flutter between shuffling percussion and throbbing bass notes.

Valique’s “Phetoho” has tribal rhythms and tropical atmosphere combined with spiralling synths that together create an upbeat Afro house groove.

Sergey Pushkin’s “Fading Away (feat. Unibird)” has a sensual vocal by Unibird which is nestled on a bed of liquid textures and ripening synths, all while the funk of the bassline carries the groove.

On December 6t​h​, the German-Syrian band @shkoon-music will release their long-awaited debut album “Rima”, sending out a message of cultural diversity to the world. Shkoon’s concerts have attracted a diverse audience for many years, bringing together people of all religions, colors and backgrounds. For their album-tour through Germany and Switzerland, stops in Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne, Munich and Zurich are planned.

Musically, the album is situated between influences of electronic downbeat, deep house, dub and hip-hop. The band members come from a variety of different musical backgrounds and have created their very own sound with a mix of influences between the Arabic and Western world. Piano, violin, synthesizers, percussion and vocals merge oriental melodies with western electronic beats, taking the listener on a journey that blurs the boundaries of cultures.

Shkoon is more than a German-Syrian live act with Arabic lyrics. In addition to their own lyrics, the band uses traditional musical folklore elements of the Arab community, which today appear more relevant than ever. The title song of the debut album is inspired by a story from Arabic folklore, in which a mother tells peaceful tales to her child as the world sinks into chaos. This song is accompanied by the singer and rapper Tareq Abu Kwaik, also known as "El Far3i", by the band 47Soul.
After the war in their home country drove the two Syrians to relocate to Germany, Ameen, Thorben and Maher met in the hanseatic city of Hamburg in 2015. During a spontaneous jam session, an unexpected energy and thus the project Shkoon emerged, which was soon followed by the release of the band’s very first EP a few months later. During the first performances of Shkoon, a spark quickly jumped over to the audience, which soon allowed the group to play major festival stages all over Europe.

Even as Shkoon’s musical expression knows no boundaries, it is not easy for the band to travel other countries, as Ameen (the vocalist) and Maher (the violinist) consistently face difficulties of getting visa documents due to their refugee status. This is particularly lamented in Arab countries, where the band has long been celebrated as stars, for example when they played a sold-out show in Beirut for an audience of more than 3,000 people. But also in Europe, especially in Germany, there is immense enthusiasm in their fans-base is huge.
 
The release date of their single "Ramallah" on November 1s​ t​ 2019 is also the kick-off date for the presale of the “Rima” album-tour. The full album will be released on December 6t​h​ 2019 and will be available on 2x12" vinyl and digital everywhere.

Shkoon - Ya Galbi

My Recording from the Livestream I did with Naturklang on top of Zurich. As a sunny afternoon was upon us I tried to express the emotions i felt while playing. A Journey carried by positivity and love.
