trndmsk Premiere Series

Alan Fitzpatrick’s We Are The Brave has been successfully growing at a steady rate since its inception in 2017. With twelve releases now under its belt, including some mega club bombs like ‘We Do What We Want’, ‘Just One More’ and the mega collab ‘El Jefe’ between Alan and Sasha, the collection of artists releasing on the label are truly diverse. We Are The Brave parties are taking over the UK, showing the foundations have been well and truly laid for another epic year ahead.

One to nurture new talent and put trust into his feelings, Alan brings us a brand new artist, with his very first release of his career, Leonardo. “I recognised something special in the music he played me." says Fitzpatrick

‘Lifting Spirits’ delivers 4 tantalizing tracks, each unique with a unifying energy at their core. ‘Queztal’ with two versions up for grabs, has been a tried and tested track for Alan for much of 2017, which oozes that blissed out end-of-night joy.

“We Are Unity” is maybe the punchiest track of the release. It has that infectious 90’s deep house groove with a truly energetic female vocal.

"When you hear music this versatile that genuinely makes you stop dead in your tracks it’s not a hard decision to want to support that talent and be a part of realising their potential, regardless of whether they are well known or just starting out” says Alan.

The EP is varied, but with common themes of creative freedom and deeply textured sounds. Instinct, emotions, gut feeling. That's what it’s all about here.

nthng finally follows up his four stunning EPs with a full album proper, arriving in a whopping 3xLP pack. 

Arriving a good 6 months after the LT029.5 album sampler which debuted both Soms and In My Dreams, nthng adds another seven hazy, hooded techno bangers to those to make up a pretty dazzling body of work. 

Opener 'Touches' is true ambient bliss, with shrouded, blissful synths fuzzing into view and cut through by a soft low distant sunlight. 

Both Galaxy and Eternal thump into view with a hi-paced drums colliding and clashing with syncopated stabs and smooth dusty baselines, recalling the tender techno-trance precipice danced by Dutch producers at the start of the 90's. 

The huge mysterious fan favourite and title track It Never Ends gets it's pride of place with 9 mins of deep, cavernous techno, all rippling with epic string-synths and washes of mountainous reverb. 

Even deeper numbers are extracted from the hard-drive, including the pensively, digitally-bubbling computer jam Unity sitting tidily alongside the super deep and subtle rolls of Abyss. 

Rounding the album out is the appropriately-titled Last. A dark, shimmering, almost emotionless number that cements a different idea of the future. A hard, pounding, yelping, depth-charged technoid closer. 

For us, the album feels like a real masterpiece, conjuring a spectrum of intimate and emotive moods, feelings and nostalgia-tinged memories that float into the mind, like the settling fog in the valley on a crisp winters morning.

„Ich erinnere mich an die Idee, einen Track mit einem großen zugrunde liegenden Synth oder Baseline zu machen, der sich dann langsam zu etwas Größerem entwickeln würde“, sagt @alex_stein. Genau das war die Grundidee zu seinem Track „Gojira“, der auf @senso-sounds rauskommt. Die Nummer entstand in seinem Studio in São Paulo und wurde über einen längeren Zeitraum produziert: „In dem Zeitraum habe ich den Track getestet und leicht verändert, aber die Grundidee blieb immer die gleiche.“ Schon länger ist Stein mit dem Labelchef von Senso, Oliver Huntemann, in Kontakt. „In dem Track geht es um Schwierigkeiten in der Liebe“, verrät das Duo @ostkjex über ihre Nummer „Dortmund“, die auf @ursl erscheinen wird. „In kurzer Zeit ist ein Paar in Schwierigkeiten. Wir haben uns vorgestellt, dass es in Dortmund ist. Die Melodie sollte etwas kalt, verfremdet und psychedelisch rüberkommen.“ Entstanden ist das Stück in ihren verschiedenen Studios: „Wir haben mehrere Jahre für den Track gebraucht und ihn immer wieder zwischen uns hin- und hergeschickt.
