Dafne Records is a collaboration between @rodericofficial, one of Mexico’s most celebrated electronic artists, and his longtime friend and collaborator, Italian executive producer and full-spectrum curator, matti.

Dafne contains two worlds of sound: on one side, melodic house and techno with a bias towards organic textures, and, on the other, experimental vocal electronica, cooked and delivered with intention.

Dafne’s release EP "Maze In My Head", out on July 29, covers the breadth of the label’s sound aesthetic. The two original songs “Creeping In”, and “Bottle Down” feature the ethereal vocals of NYC-based singer/songwriter Julietta and were written in LA during sessions with matti, Roderic, and Justin Lucas. Bottle Down gets two remixes - one from Xique-Xique, an eclectic groover that makes full use of the French producer's genre-defying versatility, and another from Roderic, who pummels in with a heavy hitter sure to shake your stomach loose.

1) If you could have any talent in the world, what would it be?

I have this recurring dream wherein i play the guitar just by using my mind, i’m able to hear every note i can think of without the limitations of the body.  It would be a wonderful talent to have in the waking world aswel.

2) What's the craziest or most out-of-character thing you've ever done?

That’s a though question! My mom could be reading this! hahah
Let’s just say, i share the same crazy stories that every “Psychonaut” has experienced.

3)What's your favourite thing about the place where you live?

We live in a small village near the mountains of Serra da Estrella in Portugal and my favourite thing here is to watch the birds show of their flying skills while listening to their morning songs with the sound of the river in the background. This really tickles my heart and makes me want to grow wings and join them, which is what i also do when my body goes to sleep :)
