So I decided to go back to one of the older sound packs again to see what it still had to offer.  Having already produced the three songs that make up Launchpad Session 107, the 'Electronic Orchestra' sound pack has once again (I think) delivered.  Launchpad Session 237 is the fourth song to fall out of the sound pack.  Which one's your favourite?

LA based DJ and producer Sam Jaspersohn debuts on Monog with a top-notch remix on Reborn. Sam was exposed to electronic music when he was 15 and he began to mix with vinyl since then. His career soon blossomed with a coast-to-coast following. He has received praise for tracks like Islands which featured on Digweed’s Bedrock 18-Signals compilation in 2016. His works have also been championed by a host of other top artists and he has appeared on top labels around the world. On the remix Sam takes us down the rabbit hole with a wondrous display of musical composition made up of deep, dark and lush tones. A solid drum section sets up a smooth rhythm while mesmerizing pads and sub shaking basses go to work. Mary’s vocal rings true throughout adding a beautiful organic flavour. An excellent track that is not to be missed.

Ukrainian producer Lessovsky makes his debut on Plaisirs Sonores Records by delivering a top quality deep emotional track. On remix duty, Zone+, who already released on great labels like All Day I Dream, Anjunadeep and Tale & Tone, lightens the track by removing some shakers and presenting a more classic deep house version of the track. Last but not least label bosses Hicky & Kalo put their proggy touch on New Ritual by creating a groovy and driving version of the track.

Berlin based Len Walker debuts on Monog Records with the superb The Tale Of Tones EP which also features a solid remix from fellow Berlin resident, Joal. We don’t know much about Len, but we do know that his tracks have been turning heads since 2017 and that his DJing is second-to-none which is why he rakes in the bookings around Berlin. Great to have him on board and we hope to hear more from him in the future.

The Original Mix takes us on a deep and thought-provoking journey in an enlightening encounter. A smooth, rhythmic drum section keeps time as a deep, sub-level bassline rocks the low end. Hair-raising melodies, deftly delivered by striking piano chords and soft notes create emotion while delicate vocals add character to the sound. A sublime piece that will definitely turn a few heads.

Lucefora born in November of 1993, his first contact with electronic music was at the age of 12, while enjoying the sounds provided by artists such as Deep Dish.
As he turned 15, he began to learn all of his DJ skills in “Escuela Sónica” and some years later, he became fully immersed in the world of production while studying at “EMBA”.

His most important influences are Mariano, Gorje Hewek, Rhadow, Dosem, Lee Burridge & Pablo Bolivar, adopting elements from these producers and portraying them in his productions, being mainly characterised by melodic and percussive rhythms.

'A long time favourite in his native Turkey, Gadi Mitrani is a unique and prodigious talent. Famed for his signature deep, tech and melodic heavy sets, Gadi is a DJ notable for his versatility. It is his productions though that has seen him announce himself to a global audience and his discography reads like a roll call of the best record labels going around: Kompakt, Sudbeat, and Plattenbank, just to name a few. Now, he adds Dawn till Dusk to that list via a beautiful five track EP that showcases his incredible talent for producing emotive and thoughtful music. 

The Intro Mix of 'WILLING' is a perfect example of what Mitrani does best: melodic arrangements designed to engage. A pensive piano line shimmers on top of a warm, deep bass; the ideal foil for an introspective Alan Watts spoken word sample introduced late in the piece. Look no further than this mix for the perfect way to start any DJ set. 

On the original version of 'WILLING', the Alan Watts sample takes centre stage. A very warm 4/4 beat anchors flutes, plucked strings and woodblocks, which slowly builds around Watts' motivating speech. The breakdown is expertly crafted, rising towards an ecstatic release which is inspiring and spiritually relieving in equal measure. 

The After Hours Mix of 'WILLING' is an almost dub version of the original. The energy levels are slightly clipped in favour of a more self contained production. The breakdown is subdued, favouring dance floors which require more reflective moments. 

On 'FOR THE DUST, Gadi Mitrani really flexes his production prowess with an absolute immaculate production of euphoria and sentiment. A melody so divine it feels like you've heard it before is the primary driver of this elegant piece. This is the tune you drop to accentuate your DJ set. 

The groove is turned up to 11 on 'KANTELE', a delightful rhythm infectious with bouncing energy. Xylophonic and kalimba sounds all add up for a highly uplifting ending to a sensational EP.'
