Having already contributed a remix to the third EP on @heimlichaufsc, Berlin-based downtempo wizard @ddoollpphh now returns to the label with a solid solo EP consisting of four original mixes and remixes by @arutani and @oh_why.

Chasing the Dragon enchants with a distinctive mixture of organic elements and well-dosed synth lines, creating a unique sound oscillating between dancefloor energy and living room atmosphere. Originating from Dolph's infamous live performances, the 11th EP out on Heimlich Musik paints a coherent and homogeneous picture. The release's title track is a metaphoric attempt to chase your inner dragon, describing a passionate state of consciousness between self-destruction and perfectionism, and the challenging attempt to find the balance between light and darkness. Highlighting melancholic elements with bright bell sounds, this inner fight is drawn in vivid detail, leaving the question open if the dragon ever gets caught. OMFG picks up this vibe without giving a clear answer - creating a euphoric feeling of enlightenment by mixing up a dominant lead sound with humanoid drums. As a symbol of falling for the dark side, Lilith is building up an atmosphere of irrational and passionate instincts, which are present as a dominant mood throughout every element of the track. Invictus is in turn built upon a certain kind of optimism that emerges at the end of Dolph’s Chasing the Dragon. In his remix, O/Y strips down OMFG to its very essentials, building up a version that can be identified as the signature O/Y sound from the very first second, through his use of groove – without losing the originals’ focus. Arutani, on the other hand, tries to make sure the dragon gets caught in the end.

On December 6t​h​, the German-Syrian band @shkoon-music will release their long-awaited debut album “Rima”, sending out a message of cultural diversity to the world. Shkoon’s concerts have attracted a diverse audience for many years, bringing together people of all religions, colors and backgrounds. For their album-tour through Germany and Switzerland, stops in Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne, Munich and Zurich are planned.

Musically, the album is situated between influences of electronic downbeat, deep house, dub and hip-hop. The band members come from a variety of different musical backgrounds and have created their very own sound with a mix of influences between the Arabic and Western world. Piano, violin, synthesizers, percussion and vocals merge oriental melodies with western electronic beats, taking the listener on a journey that blurs the boundaries of cultures.

Shkoon is more than a German-Syrian live act with Arabic lyrics. In addition to their own lyrics, the band uses traditional musical folklore elements of the Arab community, which today appear more relevant than ever. The title song of the debut album is inspired by a story from Arabic folklore, in which a mother tells peaceful tales to her child as the world sinks into chaos. This song is accompanied by the singer and rapper Tareq Abu Kwaik, also known as "El Far3i", by the band 47Soul.
After the war in their home country drove the two Syrians to relocate to Germany, Ameen, Thorben and Maher met in the hanseatic city of Hamburg in 2015. During a spontaneous jam session, an unexpected energy and thus the project Shkoon emerged, which was soon followed by the release of the band’s very first EP a few months later. During the first performances of Shkoon, a spark quickly jumped over to the audience, which soon allowed the group to play major festival stages all over Europe.

Even as Shkoon’s musical expression knows no boundaries, it is not easy for the band to travel other countries, as Ameen (the vocalist) and Maher (the violinist) consistently face difficulties of getting visa documents due to their refugee status. This is particularly lamented in Arab countries, where the band has long been celebrated as stars, for example when they played a sold-out show in Beirut for an audience of more than 3,000 people. But also in Europe, especially in Germany, there is immense enthusiasm in their fans-base is huge.
 
The release date of their single "Ramallah" on November 1s​ t​ 2019 is also the kick-off date for the presale of the “Rima” album-tour. The full album will be released on December 6t​h​ 2019 and will be available on 2x12" vinyl and digital everywhere.

Jannis & Lean are North Collective. Why North Collective? Because they romanticize cold and stormy places.  Nobody ever took them to the Caribbean. They released their “Nurture EP” in 2016 on andmusic. 
@dominik-marz got almost the same feelings, even when he is based in Augsburg/Bavaria.  With his 12”release “Tryads” in 2017 he delivered a masterpiece for andmusic as well. He is doing pretty well right now. Together with his buddy David Kochs (Only For A While) they have some smashers in circulation.  For example: "Bavarian Belter" or “Ghost Trance EP” find support by Ame, Dixon and Solomun.  Dominik delivers two fresh versions for “Haunt”. Clubby, dark & deep. Perfectly converted into something great. Forever and timeless, we think. Grab one of the limited 12” distributed via Kompakt.
 
trndmsk: What inspired you to make the remix? 

Dominik Marz: I’ve been a huge fan of the original from the start and I loved the atmosphere of the track. The vocals also reminded me of The XX,  so I knew I had to try it.

How did you approach the original track?

I played around with the original parts and tried to make sort of an edit first. I changed the beats and added sounds from the CR-78 drum machine (which I really love). I played around with some additional melodies and leads and made it more floor- friendly than the original version. For those who aren’ t into vocals I made a dub version too.

Where and how did you produce it?

It was produced in my home studio in Augsburg. I always work with Ableton and some hardware synths and drum machines to get the best of both worlds. 

How did you get in contact with the record label?

I already released two EPs on the label. One as Dominik Marz, the other one as Yandom (a project with my friend Yannick Labbé ). Stefan and Tobi from the label have been running one of the most successful parties in my hometown called auto.matic.music. Those club nights had an huge influence on me as a dj and producer.. so it’s great to release some music on their label again.

Who asked you for the remix?

Tobias Schmid from the label told me that they wanted to have some remixes and I told him that I wanted to try it.

What’s up next after the release? 

I finished a lot of music recently. I remixed Alex Smoke (as Wraetlic) and finished my upcoming EP for Belters (Huntleys & Palmers). After that there will be an EP with Yannick Labbé on Feines Tier and some more tracks on compilations and so on. 

Are you working on other projects?

Basically I have two main projects I’m working on besides my solo stuff. One with David Kochs and the other one with Yannick Labbé. Both great musicians and friends. What else could you wish in this world of music?

In 2018 @reiner-kreutzmann alias Mielsen founded the familiar techno label @creutzmann-recordings. It defines itself as a small open-minded label focused on releasing quality electronic club music. His "Heart Reflections" EP was also released there in 2019.

The Bremen-based producer and liveact @monopohl7 now did a remix for the title track of that EP in his typical own unique unmistakable style. He added some of his self played organic percussions, oriental instruments, some trippy synthesizers and slowed it down a bit. Under the influences of Monopohl, "Heart Reflections" defines it as a complete different track to the original mix.

An avatar, a concept in Hinduism that means "descent", is the material appearance or incarnation of a deity on earth. The relative verb to "alight, to make one's appearance" is sometimes used to refer to any guru or revered human being. The word avatar does not appear in the Vedic literature, but appears in verb forms in post-Vedic literature, and as a noun particularly in the Puranic literature after the 6th century CE. Despite that, the concept of an avatar is compatible with the content of the Vedic literature like the Upanishads as it is symbolic imagery of the Saguna Brahman concept in the philosophy of Hinduism.

A big milestone for a music label is reaching its 100th release. It is with great pride, and a deep gratitude towards all the artists that have contributed with their music over the years and towards the fans that keep supporting the label that Heinz Music now celebrates this achievement.

For the special occasion Heinz Music gives us a carefully selected various artist 5 track release. Setting off the celebration is the duo Anturage & Alexey Union. As close friends of the label, the guys are steady contributors to the catalogue, always delivering music with great energy. And “See The Light” has just that. Vibrating synths are met with a beautifully vulnerable vocal, which melt together in two intense breaks. 

Another familiar face is Beatamines who has joined in on the release with his “Another Round”. The track is playful and fierce, its main melody moving between layering the background and taking the front seat with all its might and glory. 

Off course it can’t be Heinz Music nr. 100 without the label boss himself Marcus Meinhardt! In well-known Dr. Meinhardt style, “Mango Tango” gives us all the feels. Its catchy groove shakes and bakes the foundation for the uplifting and dreamy synths, ready to take you into the Heinz Music dimension. Following up on this one, we are introduced to a new face in the label family as Moritz Hofbauer takes the wheel. His track “Hazard” is a symbiosis of energetic synths and a powerful groove. The tracks soundscape leads us towards the main break, which builds up massive momentum before giving us the sweet release. 

Last but not least we get well-known beats from Mr. Paul Ursin. “Ipotesi” has a mysterious vibe and dark undertones that work throughout the track in ways of driven percussions and enchanting synths that take the listener on a continuously journey. But, don’t take our words for it, put your dancing shoes on and have a listen yourself! Enjoy Heinz Music nr. 100!

Once again we're more than happy to welcome back Peter Makto & Gregory S (@petermaktoandgregorys) with their new EP ''Nightwatch''. Its contains inside three original deep and melodic tracks plus one remix. Each track design by the groove we're expecting these guys to produce. "Arrival" is more atmospheric floating than the other and it's easy to notice the classic touch of Peter & Greg's rhythm, especially in "Nightwatch" and "Candor" tracks while "Candor" more tending to the melodic Techno side. "Candor" has also another perspective by the remix of Dole & Kom which we're very happy to welcome in this wonderful pack. They took it to a deeper place than the original and gave it the touch of their delightful production, worm melodic and thrilling breaks.

What to expect from the new release of DJ and Brazilian producer @s_paniol? In all his works we hear the echoes of his sound search, his musical memory, which is a rusty big data fed by influences of classical music, Brazilian rhythms (carimbó, samba, regional music), as well as funk, soul music, jazz. and the huge cauldron formed by the sounds of the electronics drums and the sampled and synthesized tones. So we expect the enchantment!

And his ep "Sal e Sol" ("Salt and Sun") brings us this. The salt of the earth and the sun ligth burning the souls that walk on the ground. A rich metaphor that drives our auditory memory as we stroll through the sounds created by the aridity of the combination of salt and sun, laden with hope that beats and dance bring us. It gives us the opportunity to enjoy the warmth that takes care of body and soul. Paradoxically, or not, as he defines himself.

On "Human Beauty" the spanish staple @kidsimius and @tender-games join forces to create a powerful single.

Kid Simius, who is known for his production in a lot of different genres and collaboration with many well known acts like Paul Kalkbrenner, Magit Cacoon, Marteria, Siriusmo, has been shifting more toward dance music this year and with Tender Games - who celebrated a string of well received goovers in 2019 - they created "Human Beauty".

The track is a homage to 90s rave culture:  a bass-heavy, emotional track that makes you dance as well as think. Pitched vocals fuse together with a layer of synths, arps and a floating jungle break. Lyrically the song revolves around the ever shifting standards of beauty, aestethic and the fact that chasing trends is a never ending rat race.

@truecolorslabel hit double figures in style with a new EP that offers up three new cuts from @timur-sardarov. This artist is always searching out new sounds and grooves and brings ethnic influences and spiritual vibes to his productions on labels like Earthy Delights and Flying Circus.

Here he opens with the brilliantly dark and involving Full of Courage which has rolling drums that are warm and full of atmosphere, twinkling pads and searching synths. High Scheherazade then takes you on a trip into an intoxicating world of exotic synths and enacting leads that really cast their spell on you as the deep beats roll on and spine tingling vocal cries ring out. Last of all, Breaking Through The Fog is a tense cut with bold pianos layered over the rubbery drums.

This is a truly moving EP from this superb talent.
