As many of you may know loving and caring for one another is something we stand by and is something much needed in these trying times. If this year has been hard on anyone it is those who unfortunately became a refugee. That is why we have decided to support those in need. Because there is very little we can individually do, our common goal is to raise money for various charities, so they can do the work we can not.

Because music has the ability to cheer up, heal and connect those who listen to it, it is music through which we hope to help. In the past year we have started collaborations with many artists. Every single one of them has made a masterpiece for us to put together into an album named “Ishtar”. This album is to celebrate the good things, heal and give hope to those who need it.

Albanian Duo ‘Shkodra Elektronike’ announces their Debut EP, on Alt Orient, Revisiting 4 Albanian folk songs and reinterpreting them in their own way, Mixing synthesizer & Electronic beats with folk melodies and vocals,. Rearranged in a contemporary key and performed live in an old soundstage inside Tirana’s suburbs.

Turtulleshë (Wild Turtle Dove) is one of the most famous Albanian traditional tune. It’s a love song composed in the late 1930s by Ramadan Sokoli (music) and Qemal Draçini (lyrics).

Our remake of the song is driven by dark, synthetic textures, almost approaching techno territories. In the lyrics, we find a man struggling for his voice to reach his lover by “echoing to the farest mountains”. These words suggested us to play with pauses in singing and let the delays reflect each phrase.

While the rest of the melody is faithful to the original version, some harmonies and rhythmic parts have been rearranged in a more dramatic mood, inspired by the tragic faith of the composers.

Greek DJ @valeron made a remix of the song and gave it a groovy yet elegant dance house aura.

The No. 016 on Plötzlich Musik is the Gyaan EP of the great Sous Sol. They get supported with two remixes by Nikolas Noam (@nikolasnoam) and Hari Erhardt (@harierhardt).

Sous Sol's music is generated by two individuals, Teo and Lukas, who are putting their entire personalities into their art. Their releases have been published on imprints like Gorge's Re:fresh Your Mind and on Mihai Popoviciu's Cyclic Records. Additional stations include: What Happens, Bondage Music, Hive Audio and Marcus Meinhardt's Heinz Music. Sous Sol also teamed up with three colleagues to run their own label named Neustadtmusik. Overall, Teo and Lukas are true club musicians who know their turntables like the back of their hands and as they never stop exploring the musical world they live in, the duo is
successful in creating fresh new music. We are super happy to heave this great artist and lovely people with us in the label.

After Nikolas Noam did the number 014 on Plötzlich Musik, we where amazed and straight asked him todo a remix for us. He is a Germany based artist and producer from Leipzig. Noam’s music is recognized as blue vibe house with a subtitle pop appeal. Noam has released on labels like Blankhaus Music, Union Jack Records and Cimelde.

Hari Erhardt is managing the label Plötzlich Musik together with Beddermann & Dahlmann since early 2016. He did a quite groovy tool remix and sends you on a subtly journey.

The artwork is done by Robin Kowalewsky. A symbiosis of audio and visual art coming soon on Plötzlich Musik.
