Re.You - Is This Love

Get Physical Music looks to Vienna's talented Theo Meier for a pair of richly detailed new house tracks.

Theo’s sound takes in deep, organic and melodic fusions of house and techno composed with moving harmonies, catchy grooves, and warm synth sounds. He runs his Weltn Audio label and has also released on Poesie Musik, Stil Vor Talent and Get Physical before now.

He opens up his latest transmission with the immediately warm and infectious 'Forgive Forget'. The chunky bass and drums draw you in, and breathy vocal sounds and catchy synth hooks all keep you locked as the bubbling groove playfully unfolds. There is just as much character in 'Kurios', another charming house track with an effervescing groove that is stylishly off-kilter while melodic daubs, bright pads and neon keys all colour in the airwaves in fine fashion.

‘Forgive Forget’ is another EP packed with heartfelt house music.

Full-on raving days can’t come soon enough, and this EP by Tal Fussman has us craving for infinite underground submersion. The descend begins with 'Extendo'. The Israel-raised and Berlin-based artist alights in electronic rapture, part ambience, part industrial with just the right amount of House to sway gently side to side. Celestial as its strings, there’s still a subtle telluric feel to this track that is much welcomed. Metallic as the last, 'Hunta' takes over with mechanical precision and synthetic clairvoyance. Disruptive modulations are heralded by ethereal chords that feel like heavens clubbing your mind in submission. Reminiscent of magnetic resonance, this is mental imaging and perforation, and with sweeping electro-melodies, its abrupt end leaves you wanting to bask in its eternal lockdown.
Voluptuous percussion and robust bass unwind the title track, as it swells up into a funky, vigorous groove. 'Down & Out' still boasts synthetic elegance but its earthiness flourishes. This track is climactic, and expressive, poised for liberating, orbicular processions on any relenting dancefloor. ‘Are You?’ wraps up the quartet positing a lingering impression and profound questioning through motion. Mental and gritty, marked with vibrating contractions, Tal’s modulations are shrill and pervasive, but with soothing depth, this finale, as is this release, is balanced with crude and ironic optimism.

Nazca Records is a label that not only promotes new and upcoming artists, it also invests time and energy in seeing them evolve. For the 5th time on this imprint Thimble presents the progression of his sound, representing so well the Nazca futuristic vibe. 
 
The presence of our intriguing characters, the Nazcas and the Viracochas, has enriched all Nazca Records' releases so far and, it’s not different with Thimble's 5th release. The perfect symbiosis between the Viracochas future origins and the Nazca's embedded love for art is perfectly reflected in this EP.  Thimble’s first track “No Faults” it could easily become the opening track of Blade Runner while “Kappa” brings exotic vibes to an ongoing metallic and futuristic vibe. 

His third and last track, “Strokes”, while fitting aggressively on the dancefloor, it easily finds its balance in the soft vocals that coordinate a fun arrhythmia.
