Dastan translates to story. As a journeyman of dance music, and a fan of the longer form experience, he’s been obsessed with quality sound and the state of being lost in music. Dastan has been a resident DJ in Washington, D.C. for the last six years, championing residencies in seminal nightclubs Flash & Eighteenth Street Lounge, as well as in the underground and festival circuit. In 2020, he found a family playing consistently with Nick Warren’s imprint, The Soundgarden, on their showcase streams. Over the years he’s been the Global Journey DJ for Tomorrowland festival in Belgium, as well as finding himself playing globally, from in Europe, North America and South America, as well as in remote locations and festivals where he’s been summoned. Dastan has been called upon to support alongside some of his own heroes, including Audiofly, Nick Warren, Behrouz, Holmar, Enamour, Jake the Rapper, Dee Montero, Nox Vahn, Lunar Plane, & Dusky. Always finding himself on the darker side of deep house/techno his sets dance to a strong middle eastern and tribal air.

Now, hot on the heels of his debut on The Soundgarden, Dastan drops his first ever solo single 'The Mask' on Manual Music's MNL imprint with a remix by Weird Sounding Dude to boot!

TrueColors presents a four-track VA featuring Afro grooves, deep atmosphere and organic sounds from Bartella, Inámo, Raw Main and Timujin.

The record label is well-known for its releases featuring the likes of YokoO, David Mayer, Hraach, Armen Miran and Squire. This latest offering titled 'Foresight Volume 2' is a combination of artists both new and old.

Bartella is a UK artist from London who makes his return to TrueColors with his tantalising track "Whoever Knows", which blends soothing vocals with flowing percussion and enchanting melodies.

Inámo is based in New York City and is the navigator of trueColors. His track "La Llama" is a dramatic slice of melodic house/techno with tribal percussion and a throbbing bassline that unfolds with captivating suspense.

Raw Main is a French artist based in Paris who's well-known for his contributions to record labels including Stil Vor Talent, Kindisch and Lost Miracle. His track "Touareg" has a deep and smouldering groove with dramatic chords and building tension underpinned by moody pads.

Timujin is another TrueColors regular who is also the co-founder and driving force behind the label. He is also known for releasing music on labels such as Damian Lazarus' Rebellion. His track "Emotional Blush" closes the release with its psychedelic atmosphere and middle eastern instruments that build towards a hypnotic synth line and flowing organic percussion.

Traful proudly introduces its thirteenth release of 2024, Distressor marking the debut of Leo Bellaera from Buenos Aires (Argentina) on our label. This dynamic EP features two original tracks by Leo alongside remixes from the T.N.C. trio (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and Kalima (Argentina), both of whom are returning artists to Traful. With its blend of groovy rhythms and captivating melodies, Distressor promises to resonate deeply with Progressive House fans. The EP kicks off with Distressor, a track driven by a super groovy bassline, fun chord stabs, and infectious house vibes. The T.N.C. trios remix takes the track into more progressive territory, highlighting an electro-sounding bass and adding an addictive lead melody in the second half, making it a standout rework that complements the originals energy. Next is Hectic, which delves into deeper sounds, anchored by a groovy bassline and an intriguing laser-like synth in the main drop. Kalimas remix offers a more atmospheric and progressive interpretation, blending tight drums, immersive pads, and percussive elements to create a unique and effective reimagining of the track. With Distressor Leo Bellaera makes a powerful debut, while T.N.C. and Kalima contribute remixes that elevate the EP to new heights.
