On Sunday 26th January 2020 our Shaykh Ḥasan Ṣomālī gave a concise yet potent online reminder to the brothers and sisters at Masjid 'Abdullah ibn 'Abbaas in Tobago. In his admonition Shaykh Ḥasan highlighted the minuscule value of the worldly life and its many distractions that only serve to distract the believers from their ultimate purpose. He also brought a powerful quote from Imām an-Nawawī about the true meaning of being conscious, as so many times we hear this state of being loosely brandished by all manner of ideologies.
