- 2. Being deeply rooted in knowledge, which is more than just possessing knowledge/having information.
- 3. They have īmān (faith) in all of His Book and they return the unclear parts of it to the clear parts.
- 4. They ask Allāh for His Pardon and wellbeing from that which the deviants have been tested and trialed with.
- 5. They recognise and acknowledge Allāh’s Favour upon them as He granted them guidance.
- 6. They ask Allāh for His Mercy, which comprises the attainment of all that is good and protection from all that is evil and they draw nearer to Him through His Name Al-Wahhāb.
- 7. Their faith and certainty in the Day of Resurrection and their fear of it, which is an incumbent requirement for them to act and protect themselves from error and misguidance.
- Fearing for ourselves when we see people deviate.
- Following the example of the Salaf in making du’ā for our teachers.
- Clarification from Imām al-Baghawī (رحمه الله) that the servant controls nothing as it relates to his happiness, misery or guidance. 
- Shaykh Muqbil (رحمه الله) on the reason for the spread of the da’wah of Ahlus-Sunnah.
- The manner in which the People of Jannah will praise Allāh.
- Our great need for Allāh to make us firm upon His religion.
- The verse about which the Jews said if it was revealed to them they would have taken it as a day of celebration.
- Not changing the dīn for anyone.

- Benefits from the statement of Allāh, إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ يُسَٰرِعُونَ فِى ٱلْخَيْرَٰتِ وَيَدْعُونَنَا رَغَبًا وَرَهَبًا وَكَانُوا۟ لَنَا خَٰشِعِينَ “Verily, they used to hasten on to do good deeds, and they used to call on Us with hope and fear, and used to humble themselves before Us.” [Sūrah al-Anbiyā 21:90]

- An example of how the Prophet ﷺ hastened to good deeds. 
- The generosity of the Prophet ﷺ in Ramaḍān. 
- The example of Ibrāhīm and Ismā’īl (عليهما السلام) in hastening to the command of Allāh and submission to Him. 
- Mūsā’s (عليه السلام) hastening away from his people in order to be in isolation with his Lord. 
- Statements from Ibn ‘Abbās, ‘Alī b. Abī Ṭālib, ‘Uthmān b. ‘Affān (رضى الله عنهم), Abūl-‘Āliyah, ad-Dahhāk and others (رحمهم الله) regarding the meaning of وَسَارِعُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ مَغْفِرَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ “Race towards forgiveness from your Lord…” [Sūrah Āl ‘Imrān 3:133]

| 'Umar B. Al-Khattaab [D. 23H] [رضي الله عنه] said:
❝Beware of the people of opinion [Ar-Ra'ee]: for indeed they are enemies of the Sunan [The Prophetic Tradition]. They became weary of memorising Ahaadeeth [plural of Hadeeth], so they spoke with opinion so they went astray and they led others astray.❞

Shaykh ul-Islaam Ibn Taymeeyah [رحمه الله] said:
«والصحابة لما كانوا أعلم الناس بالتوحيد والسنة؛ لم يطمع الشيطان أن يضلهم كما أضل غيرهم من أهل البدع.»
❝Since the Companions were those who were the most knowledgeable of the people about Tawheed and the Sunnah, therefore, the Shaytaan could not aspire to misguide them as he misguided others of the people of Bida'.❞

Abu Bakr Al-Arabi [رحمه الله] said:
«لامنهج إلامنهج الصحابة رضي الله عنهم.»
❝There is no true methodology except the methodology of the Companions - May Allaah be pleased with them all.❞

Imaam Maalik [رحمه الله] said:

Shaykh Muhammad Nasir Uddeen Al-Albaani [رحمه الله] said:

❝Our problem today is that we have turned away from the foundational principle for which we were created; Which is the worship of Allaah - Tabaraka Wa Ta'ala. So, most of us do not worship Allaah and the few who do worship Allaah do not know how to worship Him.❞

Shaykh Rabee Bin Hadi al-Madkhali [حفظه الله] said:

«فيجب أن نهتمَّ بالتَّوحيد ، ووالله ما ضاعت هذه اﻷمة وسلَّط عليها اﻷعداء من اليهود والنصارى والمجوس والشيوعيين وغيرهم إلاَّ بعد أن ضيَّعوا التوحيد . فسلَّط الله عليهم هذا الذُّل ولا يرضى عنهم حتى يعودوا إلى اﻹسلام الذي كان عليه محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم وأصحابه الكرام.»

❝It is obligatory to have great importance of Tawheed. I swear by Allaah that this Ummah did not become lost and its enemies did not prevail over them from the Jews Christians, Majoos, socialists and others except after they lost Tawheed. So Allaah caused this humiliation to overcome them and He is not pleased with them until they return to the Islaam which Muhammad [ﷺ] and his noble Companions were upon.❞

Shaykh Muhammad Ammaan al-Jami said:

❝When the Sunnah is present it is not allowed for anyone to say, 'that this command or this [religious] matter opposes our Madhab'. 

It is not allowed for a person to bring a Madhab nor is it allowed to compare between that which came from Allaah and came from the Messenger of Allaah [ﷺ] and with what is in the Madhabs of the opinions of people.❞
