Jah Gumby , bass player of Ooklah The Moc and mastermind of Father Pslams Studio, put together an all 12" vinyl singles mix of his most influential Greensleeves Records to celebrate Greensleeves 40th anniversary. Gumby, an avid record collector, selectah and all around soundman, heavily influenced the reggae sound in his home, Hawaii with his unique blend of Dub, Vintage Dancehall, and Hawaiian influences. This mix showcases Gumby’s rootikal style paying homage to the sonic soundscape of the late 70’s dancehall, reggae, dub sound that Greensleeves captured so well in the productions by Junjo Lawes and Linval Thompson. Jah Gumby continues to carry the torch for Greensleeves in Hawaii with his love and passion for Jamaican music and culture.

Formed in 2004, London based Trojan Sound System are an institution in British sound system culture. A legendary team of selectors and vocalists, they relentlessly tour the globe, representing the most seminal reggae and Ska record label in history. For the past 8 years, Trojan Sound System have spread their message of love and unity through the power of Ska, Roots, Dub, Dancehall and UK bass music, headlining club shows, captivating festival crowds and supporting legendary Jamaican acts such as; Horrace Andy, Luciano and the late great, Gregory Isaacs to name but a few. 

Transcending age, race and political barriers, Trojan Sound System play music that satisfies the purest of vinyl collectors, while at the same time, introducing a new generation to the roots of Jamaican music. Mixing styles and flavours from the past 40 years, the Trojan crew are legendary party starters, ignited by uplifting vocals from MC trio; Superfour, Chucky Bantan & Jah Buck. 

Trojan Sound System currently host a monthly show on Ministry of Sound Radio. The crew have also been busy in the studio, working on a section of tracks remixes featuring the likes of Toddla T, scheduled for release this year or their own TSS imprint. Watch This Space!
