Trolldans once again opens its musical tome of fairy tales, this time featuring the gifted sound sculptor Edanticonf. In his chapter of the Trolldans volume, Edanticonf presents us with The Three Crying Fairies. It is a tale in four parts of desire and tears – as every good story should be. The First Fairy tells us about a lake in the deep woods where a young princess called Tuvstarr once lost her gold heart. No creature of the forest could convince the princess to let it go, and so she stayed there by the black lake until she turned into a beautiful flower. The Second Fairy tells us how the princess, before she lost her precious necklace, would ride like the wind through the forest on the back a grand elk. The princess loved the thrill and the elk loved the princess. Vril steps in and actually let’s us hear the noble elk’s heart racing from both the pace and his devotion to Tuvstarr. The Third Fairy ends Endanticonf’s beautiful but melancholy tale with a glimmer of hope: By the darkest of lakes, the loveliest flowers grow. The End.

Frank Hellmond, Neurotron, Schäufler & Zovsky and Baumfreund laid their hands on Noetics „Rotterdub“ and opened the wide spectrum of deep underwater music. A wonderful piece of Dubtechno music.

Das fünfte Release von Tiefenrausch bestreiten gleich vier Produzenten aus dem direkten Umfeld des Labels: Frank Hellmond, Neurotron, Schaeufler & Zovsky und zu guter Letzt Baumfreund. Alle vier remixen den Track „Rotterdub“ der Band Noetics  und eröffnen so  das weite Spektrum der tiefen Musik der Unterwasserwelt.  Ein ganz besonderes Stück Dubtechno Musik.

Den Anfang macht Frank Hellmond von Dreiton.net. Schleppend und unwirklich zeichnet er seinen Sound und verleiht dem Song durch sein bedächtiges Arrangement die besondere Essenz.
Neurotron nimmt sich gar nicht erst vor den Meeresboden zu beobachten. Stattdessen sorgt er mit seinem druckvollen Sound Verwirbelung in der dunklen Technogrotte.
Schaeufler & Zovsky bleiben ihrer Linie treu. Gut so! Heraus kommt eine warmherzige, leidenschaftliche und treibende Unterwassermelodie.
Zum Abschluss erklimmen liebevolle Sounds wabernd und pulsierend die Wasseroberfläche während der Baumfreund im Seegras liegt und sich im Groove verliert.

Minimood boss Voltmar invites Blazej Malinowski to the vinyl-only label’s offshoot Minimood Extra as both artists remix Advanced Dreams’ ‘Blurred Trip’ this March.

Since Minimood’s inception in 2007, the Cologne-based outfit has continued to explore the deeper, dubbier realms of techno, house and minimal, playing host to the likes of CV313, David Hausdorf, Steve O’Sullivan, Luke Hess, Sascha Dive, Delano Smith and many more. Now, Voltmar returns to the label’s subseries Minimood Extra together with his good friend Polish DJ/producer Blazej Malinowski to serve up two individual atmospheric, dub-techno reworks of Russian underground duo Advanced Dreams’ ‘Blurred Trip’ pressed on transparent wax.

Inner Tension chief Blazej Malinowski’s interpretation of the aptly titled ‘Blurred Trip’ creates a complex sonic soundscape as evocative keys, subtle percussion, reverberating basslines and ethereal samples work in harmony. On the flip, Voltmar offers up a chuggy, stripped back reshape as ghostly echoes, tight snares, and a punchy bassline carry this profoundly emotive cut.

If the first rays of dawn could be captured in a deep techno track, it would sound something like opener Metaverse with its glistening, understated euphoria. Numerical Analysis plunges back into the darkness, as tension mounts via clattering dissonance throughout. On the flip, Abbreviation pulsates with driving rhythms and heady atmospherics. MOFF favourite Claudio PRC reworks Numerical Analysis into a groove-centric banger that ebbs and flows with mesmerizing precision while also being infectiously danceable.

2015 was a seminal year for Joe Ashworth, with the release of his debut artist album ‘Grain’ on respected London imprint Needwant. Earning widespread support from leading tastemakers John Digweed, Anja Schneider, George Fitzgerald, Jonas Rathsman, B. Traits, Mano Le Tough and Detroit Swindle, as well as acclaim from the likes of DJMag, making it into their coveted Top 20 album list of 2015. 

‘Lost’ is the follow up to last years Anjuandeep fan favourite ‘Rebound / Whatever Weather’, a double-sided melodic gem featuring an epic original mix as well as a stripped-back rework from rising UK talent Matt Karmil. The original mix combines subtle textures and bouncing grooves with a show-stopping melodic breakdown, swirling through cinematic soundscapes and sparkling arpeggios. A big dancefloor moment.

Matt Karmil has stormed the underground in recent times, with two acclaimed artist albums under his belt in the past 12 months, championed by the likes of Boiler Room, XLR8R and Resident Advisor.
