Dublin-based DJ/producer and label owner Laughing Man is someone who’s been on our radar for some time. A long-time favourite amongst discerning minimal techno fans, he also runs the Standalone label and has left his own inimitable mark on respected labels such as Fasten Musique, Berg Audio, Silencio and more. We caught up with him recently for a far-ranging chat, as we touched on everything from his debut Nightclubber mix (which you can listen to here) to his plans for the year ahead.

Based in Tunisia, Monet Mane has been inspired by the diversity of musical instruments from an early age and focused on playing the drums and other percussions which eventually led him onto the path of deeply exploring the subtle connections between art and music. The Chicago House movement was a big influence for him, as he gradually started to dedicate more and more time to modern electronic music, changing his perceptions and expanding his vision. Nowadays, he elegantly masters the vibes from behind the decks, playing inspiring selections from the minimal techno, microhouse, funky house, deep tech and ROminimal universe that always deliver a smooth groove for people to enjoy all around the world.

Monet Mane's sounds can be heard on several well-known radio stations, such as Ibiza Global Radio, Cosmos Radio Berlin and motus uk,feeder sound romania and habit cast with his adventures as a DJ always delivering proper vibes. All of this adds up to his activity as an AR at Bookech Sound Agency

Monet Mane [Synapses Podcast 09/2023]

French label head, producer, promoter and DJ, Maco has cultivated a unique corner of the European underground community for himself. As a direct result of tireless dedication to electronic music the BienAimer Music and Variant boss has given a voice to some of the most forward thinking artists of the scene, himself included. By way of his own jumping warehouse parties, essential DJ sets at the likes of fabric, Egg London, Fold, The Cause, New World Festival, Especial Festival, buy on sight releases on Signatune, BienAimer Music and Variant, Maco has positioned himself very much as an artist on the rise and one to watch.

With a lengthy rap sheet in the club scene, Maco has garnered an extended collection of sounds along the way. For his InSession submission he also covers a lot of ground, from upbeat bangers, low end weapons to riddim fuelled party starters this is a mix to be listened to as loud as you can without the authorities kicking down your door. Keep a watchful eye on Maco as he has all manner of events and releases up his sleeve for the wamr sunny summer months and beyond.

Pegatina is the brainchild of Spanish artist Javier Carballo, in collaboration with Barcelona hotspot, Les Enfants Brillants. A key figure in bringing stellar talent and underground sounds to the Spanish city since it opened. Pegatina is a project in which Javier gives back to the amazing city he currently calls home, with 6 dates this year, the past 2 first with Alec Falconer and John Dimas as guests, The ethos of the brand is extremely straight forward. High quality dance music parties without any complexities, as the slogan states: Dance, Sweat, Respect. 


After 10 years of moving around from London to Berlin, Javier now resides full time in Barcelona, a city of which he loves, and can not wait to build his Pegatina brand in. After several intimate sessions at the highly regarded Les Enfants establishment, including an all night long show, Javier has fallen in love with the club and the atmosphere the team has created. The perfect home for Pegatina to flourish with its positive outlook at its heart. 

The vibe on the nights will be an open book for some of Javier’s favourite artists from recent years to come and showcase their sound, melding genres by a host of widely appreciated talent, but simultaneously offering a platform for up-and-coming artists on Carballo’s radar. The best of both worlds.

From his early stomping ground of the Italian Riviera to his residencies at Undersound London, Francesco Del Garda knows his way around a DJ booth. MEOKO Mix number 115 is full of Francesco's fabulous flavours. The loopy minimal techno style of many of his contempories is clear to hear throughout, however Francesco's sound is definitely house music. It's warm and playful; rich analogue depth and melodic textures are layered over tougher more percussive edged beats whilst vocal samples jive against old school synthesized stabs. Dance floor joy.
