Banoffee Pies Records 18th release in the Original Series continues with another speaker hugger via a 4 track EP from HearThuG. The Tunisia based artist, digger, and “Are You Alien” label/party founder joins the Banoffee fray with “Planet Rhythm X”.

The Producer / DJ who honed a craft in sample twisted acid and breaks, drops their first solo release since 2018. A friendly face pushing the local scene with an impressive output of heavily chaptered synth jams.

The lead track “Earthling” sets a welcome signal with a low key wiggle, chopped drums and pinching acid lines ahead of the title tune “Planet Rhythm X” on the A2, which shifts to a 4x4 launch pad and countdown. “The Land Of The Never Ending Jazz” opens the B side with a superb 9 minute exploration of playful melodies and jazz keys, with a classy twirl. The EP closes out with an ear worm and soft breaks in the form of “Love Lesson”, featuring the smooth vocal works of local artist Fig Republic on the B2. Much love BPR x

Every morning without fail, just as dawn broke, a small boat would appear at the waters edge to whisk the most curious of people off to an unknown destination. The boat only ever returned empty, slowly it traced its routine daily journey back and forth across the calm waters. Rumours had long circulated about where those who boarded the vessel disembarked; some said it led to a utopian island, others attested to it taking people to their final resting place. Only those willing to take the risk would find out.

Aldonna's music is perfectly tuned for late nights on the floor; think of sweaty rooms filled with energetic dancers. The Melbourne producer came up through the ranks in the city with her party series Re-Leaf and is now expanding her name across the pond with her bright, supercharged productions. Her debut EP Morph, which comes with remixes from Alex Kassian and Marli, lets us into some of the influences that fuel her as a DJ, taking us on a nostalgic ride through warm proggy trance, euphoric rave and acid-laced breaks.

Tombolo Rumble Vol I. is here! The first volume of a list of selected releases by different artists from around the globe. Proud to be presenting four tracks by four upcoming and established legends on the panorama of electronic music: Unknown Mobile, DJ Dog, Poly Chain and Abdul Raeva. 

First artist on the list is Unknown Mobile, an amazing producer and dj based in Montréal, Canada. You may know him well from his well received releases across some of the dance sphere labels like Planet Euphorique or Pacific Rhythm among others. What you can find in his track is a 4×4 upbeat house atmosphere that goes along with crazy synths, and a beautiful harmony creating a perfect melting for the dancefloor. 

Second track is by DJ Dog, the fun aka of DJ Fett Burger, a Norwegian legend based in Berlin founder of projects such as S*x Tags Mania or Trushmix. He comes with a downtempo, jumpy track, with very fun percussions and synths that will make you feel as if you are walking on Mars. 

Third track is by Estonian duo Abdul Raeva. Huge track for the club, upbeat techno with acid baselines on a fast bpm percussion. 

And last but not least, we have Poly Chain, a Ukranian artist that is getting a lot of attention due to her strong mixes as well as her productions, delivering some fat broken beats with acid baselines as well.

London-based imprint X-Kalay add to their healthy catalogue with an instalment from Holding Hands affiliate, Adam Pits. Marking his debut on the label, following a string of releases for Coastal Haze and Wex this year, he brings yet more styles to the table, adding proggy house influences and driving synths into the mix alongside signature breaks and techno. On the flip, illusive Magicwire artist Bliss Inc. puts his own spin on title track 'Piston Pump, twisting it into a euphoric peak time cut.

Baby Rollén, who’s becoming known for his unique brand of UK-centric dance floor music, launches his own imprint on March 5th 2021 with his debut ‘Love Potion EP’.  Stepping off the precipice with his first-ever solo EP, Baby eases between authentic acid house, UK Breaks, and forward-thinking garage infusions across this tantalising four-track EP.

We premiere 'Onion Cake', a teched out trancey number, sporting a familiar rolling driven bass line with a blissed out spacey chord progression gliding around the mix. A lovely cut and debut record as a whole so make sure you listen to the rest and cop if you like what you hear.
